  • I like to steam cabbage and then mix up a little greek yogurt, mustard, and horseradish as a dip for it. Originally I used mayo but the GY is better for you. This also goes well with corned beef and cabbage.

  • Search Udder Butter. Most common solution I have heard. Also - no cotton or cotton blends. Good luck!
  • You mention having a hard time hitting your maintenance calories daily. This is something that i struggle with from time to time as well. Keep in mind that liquid products, such as the protein shake, aren't going to keep you as full and will allow you to eat more often. Obviously (or not maybe) don't substitute protein…
  • One of the challenges here is how to get those super thin cuts that they do with deli meat. I don't know what it is about it but the thinner the meat, the more I like it even if I just pile the same amount on the sandwich. What works for me was to buy and inexpensive deli meat slicer and now I smoke and slice my own "deli"…
  • Strength training (weight lifting, weight training) <-- this is the entry you are looking for. I was going to ask the same question and came across it in another post. Not as accurate as the heart rate monitor suggestion but it will do a decent job.
  • After reading this I feel almost guilty for using SlimFast as a breakfast replacement when I don't have time for a full meal. The Rich Chocolate Royale is pretty much the best thing ever and it keeps me full until lunch. I'm not using it in a "plan" but for 190 calories it is sure better than a candy bar and it satisfies…
  • Creatine can help a good deal with muscle soreness. It keeps the muscles hydrated as well as a couple other benefits. I just drink the recommended amount the day of a heavy workout, typically a little before, and notice a definite reduction in soreness the next day. For me I don't really have a need for it every day, just…
  • 1. Strange/Unusual exercise - Renegade Rows - they are tricky to get started with but wow what an ab workout. 2. I still drink a couple of beers a week and depending on the situation drink a mix of lights and the calorie dense craft beers. Chicken Wings are definitely a weakness but I think I am going to start grilling…
  • I too have the issue of eating enough on some days. I've got a couple of things that work pretty well for me. 1) On workout days, I keep the fiber down so I am not as full and food passes quicker. I really do miss Fiber One on these days. 2) Dried fruit mixes are WAY more calorie dense than their fresh and frozen…
  • 1/2c Greek Yogurt + 1/2c Frozen Fruit + 1/2c Fiber One = perfect cereal/parfait (need some fat? add a handful of nuts) Couple of spoonfuls of GY + a can o' chicken = chicken salad replacement (I eat this on a sandwich) Couple of spoonfuls of GY + chili or stew = AWESOME thickening agent
