yet another reason i didn't run!0

.....Ok but for serious...I have no good answers, sports bras have always done the trick- sorry. (maybe they make a sports bro?)
sports bro laugh:
Manzier!
but seriously, I thought my nipples were bleeding this morning whilst cycling to work - it was just REALLY cold tho.0 -
I've heard Bandaids help.
I'm allergic to Bandaid brand bandages glue, so it's a good thing I'm not a guy.0 -
wow LMAO... i would say band aids should help
heck just cut out that part of the shirt and have that be your running shirt.
Now THAT'S funny! I would say perhaps some powder or yes, the chafing gel. Are there special shirts for running in??? I don't know.0 -
Yeah I knew the title would get a lot of attention!!!!
The "bro" reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with Kramer and George's dad.. lmao! Anyways, thanks for all the good advice....0 -
OH DEAR!!!
http://www.nipguards.com/
im not a runner.. but i thought id lend a website.. and try to hold my sharp tongue.. LOL.. good luckk.. saw a picture.. it looks like it would hurt
+1 for this. a lot of runners use them. as for the girls that said pasties, well, there you go.0 -
Go to walmart or target and get some cheap compression shirts. Anything that is a wicking fabric and tight will stop this. The cheap C6 compression shirts work great for me. I always wear one under my running shirt. My moobs never bleed.0

Are you wearing just a cotton tshirt? Cotton is the worst for this. Make sure you are wearing something that is either a. loose (depending on the length of your run) or b. very very tight.0
-
Okay, well what about nursing breast shields?0
-
lol.. funny you mention the nursing pads... my wife has tons of them since she is nursing.0
-
if she's nursing i'm sure she has some lanolin around - use that to heal them up (can you tell i've bf'd before? LOL)...but make sure you cover them afterwards or it will stain your clothes...0

Search Udder Butter. Most common solution I have heard. Also - no cotton or cotton blends.
Good luck!0 -
sports bras are the best! (okay... ya not so great for men...)0
-
My dad's a crazy marathon / triathlon runner, and he uses bandaids or tape, yes. :-D0
-
I don't run.... ever. But I can relate to chafed nipples. I second using lanolin to heal them up. In fact - I recomend lanolin for healing any skin that's irritated.
My son wears UnderArmour shirts for football, baseball and working out - he likes the champion compression shirts from Walmart just as well.... and I love that he loves them - because they are much cheaper.0 -
Amusing how many people laugh and make smilie faces like this is the most outlandish thing they have ever heard when it's actually incredibly common among endurance runners, and the only reason women are not affected is because they wear sports bras!
The more sensible contributions were:
- Body Glide (it's great stuff and has to be first choice, it's way superior to Vaseline)
- Vaseline (it's better than nothing)
- taping (it's an option, but when you sweat the tape may come off and still leave you vulnerable)
- on top of the above get wicking fabrics and do not under any circumstances run long distances in ordinary cotton.
Happy running. :flowerforyou:0 -
lol- flashbacks of The Office episode where they ran the rabies 500k Rabies Run!! Do like Andy and just cut the nipples out of your mesh shirt!
   This is the exact image that popped into my head when I saw the title:laugh:
If you get the edible pasties, make sure you log it.....0 -
Hubby tapes his with micropore tape when he remembers.0

Hubby tapes his with micropore tape when he remembers.
and is doing the nipple "oooh-ooh-aaah-aaah" dance in the shower afterwards when he forgets...?! :laugh:0 -
If you'd listened as a kid to grandma you would have eaten your bread crusts and now be sporting a full chest of hair - no nipple chaffing the way nature intended. Bread Crusts.0

use body glide or bandaids. The body glide is also good for inner thigh chafing.0

My sister in law had a boyfriend who would shave the hairs around his nipples. It was kinda odd.0
