I manage to get by with some caffine, a pain reliever, Aveda blue oil rubbed on my forehead(or just peppermint oil) and a room as dark as I can get it.

do you have a trader joes around you? they sell freeze dried bananas that you could easily pound into powder, or leave as in the oatmeal. worth a shot!

as for your other question of adding more protein. I really don't know what your daily goal is, but I don't seem to have that problem as a vegetarian. but my goals may be different than yours. maybe this was covered in all the comments, but I love artic zero. to me its basically a frozen protein shake. I don't feel guilty eating it and I think its tastes quite good.
