A friend and I are about to demolish the Karamel Sutra flavor. I feel like I earned two whole pints in bootcamp today.

I wash it (almost) every time I work out. If I know I'll have a day I'm not going to work out, though, I'll wash my hair the day before with a baking soda/water paste, then condition with cinnamon-infused apple cider vinegar. It sounds weird, but it gets your hair super soft and washes away some of the gunk that builds up…

Blogilates on Youtube uses low/no weights and high reps, and it's a great workout! I'll be swearing at the screen while Cassey Ho's cheerfully chatting away about her new nail polish or the next bodybuilding competition she's entering. She's really sweet and encouraging, and the workouts are killer. I can't recommend her…

Thank you to everyone who's answered (and continues to answer). I know there are lots of not-very-complicated ways to deal with this, but it's easy to start feeling alone and hopeless when nobody else around you is attempting the same thing. I'm very grateful for the MFP community!

But I love lifting, haha! Thank you, this was a great article. I really am trying to focus on getting stronger instead of smaller, but it's hard to let go of that fear of gaining even more body fat. (I would love to gain weight if it were mostly muscle!) It's been hard to get to the gym because the average high in my town…

Yep, I start letting the bready, carby stuff filter back in when this kind of thing happens! I've got to see someone about emotional eating, for sure. Thanks for saying this, though. Sometimes you just need to hear it from someone else, you know? (Oh, and if anyone knows what's really in popcorn, that'd be great. The…

Depends. Some people buy those products to simply impress people, others buy them to present as more respectable/trustworthy/intelligent. Even if someone is all of those things in the first place, we do judge people on their appearance, especially if they appear poor, and that affects how we treat them (e.g. whether…

Bingeing is so hard to deal with. I struggle with it too, especially late at night when I should have gone to bed anyway! What usually works for me is posting a list of deterrents on my fridge, or things I have to do before giving in to a craving or binge. Here's what it looks like: "WAIT! [this is in huge letters] Do you…

There are a lot of creams and ointments out there that claim to reduce stretch marks, but it mostly comes down to just letting them heal. I used to have vivid purple and red marks along my hips and inner thighs when I was 13 or 14, and I HATED them. But once they faded, I started to love the way they looked. They're…

You don't need to lose any weight! You may be like me and the women in my family. We always have a tiny stomach pooch, no matter our weight, so losing more fat isn't going to get rid of it. Instead, now's a good time to start building muscle. Your body will change composition so there's less fat and more muscle (NOT bulk,…

Spicy chicken and spelt salad! I think I could eat that for every meal and be perfectly happy. It's the first recipe that pops up when you Google it, and it's really easy. Lemony lentil salad with salmon is also really good and easy. Best part is both of the recipes are already in MFP's database. Oh, I forgot to add my…

Slightly sexist athlete, believes in "traditional" gender roles, makes fun of you for working out...sounds like he's threatened by your progress. It's one thing if he thought you were endangering your health, but this is all about his simple aesthetic preferences, not you being happy and healthy. He should be glad that…

I've been trying to lose weight for three years, too. It is so frustrating. I've tried eliminating certain foods from my diet, not eating after hours at night, going raw, and just out-exercising a bad diet. None of it works because it's not sustainable! Eventually you get sick of it, or frustrated because there are no…

Boys in sweatpants are a gift from heaven. Just as long as you don't rag on girls who wear leggings as pants, we're all good. Everyone just wants to be comfy.

I held a plank for three minutes a couple of weeks ago, and I've definitely never done that before. Also, just admiring my biceps or periodically poking my stomach to feel the fat-muscle ratio changing is fun. Insanity's Fit Test was a great way to gauge progress when I was doing the program, too, and I wonder if it would…

You've overcome so much and are still accomplishing a lot, and I hope you sometimes stop to remember how amazing that is. You're a young single mother, going to school, who's managed to get out of an abusive relationship. You want to teach and give back to people, even as you work to love yourself and raise a child. That…

Congratulations, wow! I spent just a couple of months in a wheelchair last year, and walking again is no small feat. You are working so hard and undergoing so many changes all at once. I hope you find an amazing physical therapist who appreciates everything you've done so far and gets you on the path back to freedom!

She shouldn't be making hurtful comments about something she knows you feel bad about, and especially something you've struggled with for a long time. It doesn't matter if she doesn't mean to hurt your feelings - she IS hurting your feelings, and she should want to change that. If telling her this straight out doesn't…

Can you make a lot of food all at once to portion out over a week? A big batch of rice and beans with whatever added meat and vegetables you like can go a long way. There's also this recipe (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/spicy-chicken-and-spelt-salad/), which takes a little time to prepare but is mostly just chopping and…

You've restricted for such a long time, and have done so well recently! Honestly, the only way I can make it through a single week is knowing I have a reward meal waiting for me every Saturday, where calories don't matter. It takes a lot of emotional and mental energy to restrict calories (for me, anyway), and sometimes…

So frustrating! Sometimes I try to find an existing entry that would be close enough, like substituting one brand of delivery pizza for another if one doesn't post their nutrition info. But, what's important is that you stayed within your limit, and it's only one day!

Congratulations! I really admire the hard work and dedication this must have taken. Good luck with your final stretch!

Hope everything worked out yesterday! I have a list taped to my fridge of things to do if I feel the urge to binge. Cravings usually last 5-20 minutes, so you can wait it out! Things like: drinking a glass of water or a mug of tea, chewing gum, brushing my teeth, cleaning the dishes, taking a nap, doing 100 jumping jacks,…
