  • I went pants shopping today, which was desperately needed since my jeans were falling off of me. Most of the ones I bought were size 14! I don't even remember the last time I wore a 14! All throughout middle and high school I was a 16-20.
  • I've had multiple this week, it's been awesome! Sunday I got up and did both spin class and yoga. That's one. Two, I wore shorts that day and felt comfortable. I never wear shorts, I'm afraid of them riding up or my legs just looking bad. It was actually nice! During yoga I was able to do sun salutations with ease where I…
  • Get down to the weight limit for the Navy (160 lbs.) hopefully by the end of March. Half marathon in October with my mom. Do normal push-ups, again hopefully by March.
  • Oh my, I don't even know where to start... let's see... When I was little all we would drink was sodas. I was having about 6 cans of soda a day, nothing else to drink. I've eaten half an ovenstuffer by myself. I've had a whole bag of tostitos chips with nacho cheese dip. I've eaten half of a roll of cookie dough by myself.…
  • Strawberry wafers cut up in vanilla frozen yogurt (not strange to me, but my boyfriend always raises an eyebrow when I make it) Peanut butter and jelly in my salad
  • I do usually use one regular egg and then the rest are egg whites for me. I substitute egg whites to keep calorie count and cholesterol down and protein up. The increased volume of egg fills me up and it agrees with my calorie budget that way.
  • How low in carbs are we talking? I have egg whites and greek yogurt almost every morning, but I also have a homemade muffin as well which can be "high" in carbs. You could also add some vegetables to your egg whites to make it more flavorful and hearty, usually green and red peppers and onion go well with eggs, and you can…

  • Week 1: 221.0 Week 2: 217.4 Week 3: 215.0 Week 4: 215.2 Gained this week, but I'm not surprised. I gave in to emotional and convenience eating, didn't get to the gym as much as I'd have liked to (I'm not able to drive myself until I get my camera card in the mail so I can renew my license, so relying on my boyfriend for…
  • Two things I like about myself: 1. My self confidence has gone up immensely since I've lost weight. I'm actually wearing shorts to the gym now. Before my legs would never see the light of day! 2. I'm starting to like my shape - I think I'm a pear. I used to hate that I don't really have boobs, but I really love my hips and…
  • You strength train? Good. Keep focusing on that chest! But other than the surgery, over time breasts naturally start to sag no matter what. Keep going towards a healthier you and don't worry so much about the sag. As others have said, buy yourself some lingerie, find other areas that you think are sexy. Time takes a toll…
  • I'm not married yet but I probably won't wear mine to the gym. We're considering a wooden engagement & bridal set because of concerns with my metal allergies and because they look neat. With wooden ones you have to try not to get them wet too much though. I'll be taking it off for dishes and anywhere else I could get wet…
  • Week 1: 221.0 Week 2: 217.4 Week 3: 215.0 2.4 lbs. this week! TOM has made me feel sick and crampy most of this week to the point of me not really wanting to eat much and not wanting to go work out. I tend to oversleep during this time as well. I probably would've lost most more if I could've stuck to my exercise and goal…
  • I'm considering Implanon (the arm one) and my insurance is covering most of the cost, I just have to pay the insertion fee (about $120 I think). I'm going to have to call my recruiter and make sure that this particular form of birth control is okay in the military as it is just below the skin and the military is picky. :p
  • I didn't realize it's the weekend and that the gym closes early. :frown: I have such a bad sense of time. I don't get up until about 2pm by the way. That's my usual schedule. I go to bed around 5 or 6am. By the time I realized my error it was too late, and I don't go out running after dark. I probably could've worked out…
  • OH YES, "Mr. Self Destruct". I haven't listened to that for a while but it definitely gets me going! I'll have to add that for today's workout!
  • "Man Overboard" - Puscifer "Beast and the Harlot" - Avenged Sevenfold "Rocket Skates" - Deftones "Leathers" - Deftones "Wth>You" - Linkin Park (the one from their Reanimation album)
  • Oops, I've been super busy and missed this post. :blushing: Anyway, anyone is welcome to add me. :flowerforyou:
  • Most gyms have scales too, if you use the gym that is. It's probably a better idea to get a scale for home though since you'll want to weigh yourself in the morning right after you use the bathroom and before you eat or drink anything. That'll keep factors more consistent
  • Week 1: 221.0 Week 2: 217.4 I had to check my scale 5 times and I put it in different places in my bathroom just to make sure it wasn't lying to me. Yesterday when I'd checked my weight it was 220! I don't know what happened between today and yesterday but I guess I shouldn't complain.
  • Had a couple of slip ups this week. Large McDonald's meal with milkshake after stressful day of work and not being picked up from work until 1 1/2 hours after I got off (boyfriend slept through his alarm). Texas Roadhouse dinner tonight and haven't eaten anything else today. I'm going to make meals ahead so they're ready…
  • I've always been bigger than my peers. I've been over 200 pounds since.. I think either the end of middle school or beginning of high school (so about 8th or 9th grade). One year in high school I dieted and exercised myself down to 190 pounds but I went on vacation that summer and came back 10 pounds heavier and lost…
  • Keep in mind that I'm not an expert, but here's my take on things - You're doing a program that is focused on cardio as well as strength. The way that you do the exercise and increase the weights will determine if it's more cardio or more strength training. With the number of reps it has, many would argue that it's more…
  • I just tried the Cardio Cinema today at my gym (I go to Gold's Gym). It was awesome! Got a good exercise and the movie was distracting enough.
  • I keep hearing about the 30 day shred but I'm not sure what kind of stuff is in her videos. What do you plan on doing after the shred? What I like about NROLFW is that I'm going to be preoccupied with it for a while (about 6 months) and won't have to plan something new for a while, lol. Mmm, fried food. I miss fried…
  • She explained why in another reply - she has PCOS. I don't think she meant that she was going to eliminate ALL carbs, but for those with PCOS if they consume a certain amount of carbs it will make symptoms worse as well as make it more difficult to lose weight. I'm not quite sure where I read it but I think processed foods…
  • Lately it's been the looming deadline that has been created. I'll backtrack. Ultimately I want to join the Navy, which means I must get down to 160 lbs or (I think) 32% body fat. I was doing this at a leisurely pace, however I got a letter in the mail recently that has stressed the importance of meeting this requirement…
  • Hello, my name is Kayla (obviously from my screen name) and I live in Hanover, PA and work as a nursing assistant in a long term care facility. I'm working towards reaching either the weight or body fat percentage requirement to join the Navy (160 lbs). When I started I was doing strictly cardio and still only eating one…
  • This times a million. I think that's what I'll aim for. I'll be completely honest with my logs and make sure I log every day and all of my meals, even if it's painful to see.
