  • Snacking in general is my weakness. I had to pretty much cut it out completely. I eat cereal when I need something now to snack on... easier to control. There are very few things I will eat... so I stick to the same few meals, and cutting out snacks it easiest because if I don't have crackers, cookies, poptarts in the…
  • I don't remember ever seeing cereal ads. That said, I switched from low carb and almost no sugar to eating cereal(Reese's Puffs) and other carbs again, and I'm losing weight better than I was before. lol Bonus is, I'm happier and less obsessed.. which means there is a better chance I will actually be able to stick to my…
  • Yea... this approach doesn't work for me. I consider bluntness another word for jerkface. I admit, I am extremely sensitive and have problems with severe depression. So making me feel even more like a piece of trash is not going to motivate me, it is going to make me want to hurt myself or just say screw it all. As far as…
  • Re: the question about if people would give diet soda's to kids.. I don't have kids, but I was once a kid, and I have been drinking diet coke as long as I can remember. My parents wanted me to drink diet soda, as opposed to regular because my mom was diabetic and would only drink regular soda. They just didn't want me to…
  • This  Seriously... I think I was born with a bottle of Diet Coke in my hands. I cut it out for 6+ months... a few years ago. It honestly didn't make a difference in my weight loss, so I started drinking it again. Now I'm back on track and still drinking diet coke. It does not make me crave sweets, I don't even crave…
  • You're welcome. :) Your story is very inspiring. :) I started out low carb, but between you and others I finally got the nerve to eat what I like, and I found it working just as good and now I can eat spaghetti! LOL
  • I was wondering the same thing. Some (most) of the things that get flagged don't strike me as deserving a flag.
  • 100% agree with both of you. I feel the same way!
  • Snacking, anxiety eating, cycles where I would starve myself--followed by eating anything I wanted always lead to more weight gain. All that and Hypothyroidism, PCOS, and I hate exercise didn't help. lol I've found that snacking only makes me hungrier, so I cut that out.
  • That's really good to know. I took it so personally. But now that I think about it, I see a lot of posts flagged for no reason! lol So I guess like others have said, it's like a game.
  • yea.. I am trying not to take it so seriously. lol I actually wish there was a like button! lol There have been so many posts I love. lol
  • aww lol yea. I actually see a lot of posts flagged and I'm always like "why is that flagged?" lol I'm glad to know it's not just me being attacked. I take things personally, so it's hard to separate it from judgement.
  • gah double post thanks to my internet. -.-
  • aww I will try not to. lol I don't mind differing opinions. I just feel like flag=bad=me. lol But I will keep that in mind that just because I got a flag maybe somebody did it on accident. And even if they didn't, I know that I did and said nothing wrong, so it's their issue, not mine. I just don't want to get in trouble.…
  • I have never been a normal weight. Well, <18 months old I think I might have been. lol I have enough weight to lose that I have no doubt that getting even remotely close to my goal will completely change my life. It would have to. As it is now, I have no social life, unless you count the internet. I have no friends…
  • Confession: I just saw that I have 2 flags for alleged "spam". How did I spam you ask? Apparently replying to a thread about some city banning soda's in happy meals and saying it's none of their business what parents give their kids is spam. I swear, it is laughable the things that get flagged around here. I can't…
  • I have been lurking since I came back here in March and only just started getting brave enough to start posting. I enjoy reading everyone's posts, I find a lot even entertaining at times! I find myself laughing at some(in a good way). :) I also lurked here back in 2013, but never got up the nerve to post. I think that…
  • Like others have said, 2 pounds a week is great! I also have a lot to lose, even more than you and I'm averaging about a pound a week. Down about 15 pounds and in my 14th week. I even went a whole month in there bouncing up and down 2-3 pounds with no actual progress. lol So if you can lose 2 pounds a week that is amazing!…
  • I totally know where you are coming from. I have had weight problems literally all my life, I think since about 18 months old. Like already 100+ pounds in early elementary school! I have also always had problems with depression and anxiety, and have realized that my mental issues feed into the weight issues and vice versa.…
  • It's totally fine to have things that you like! I know everyone has their preferences and ideas of what is worth calories to them. I definitely wouldn't eat something I didn't really want! I started out in March doing low carb, but then around May I decided, you know what? I can't see myself never eating spaghetti or pizza…
  • awww yea. :/ I shared because I felt like it would show that it's not something that is horrible, I mean, I'm glad I don't have that problem now.. lol But I don't think my parents were angry at me for it. Like you said, nobody does it on purpose (that I know of.. lol). It is something you have to grow out of, some of us…
  • [/quote] My son will be 10 in two weeks and wets the bed (still) on average twice a month. He could sleep through a hurricane, so I really do feel that he is just not getting the "signal" to get up on those nights he's wetting. We make sure the majority of liquids come early in the day and that the very last thing he does…
  • Yea.. I don't snack at all, at least not currently. I started out low carb and I was eating peanuts for snack. But once the keto appetite killer part stopped helping me I started eating too many peanuts. Not enough to gain, but it needed to stop. lol Now I'm being more moderate about it, eating what I like in moderation…
  • Still coming at you from Feb. going on page 92! lol This confession is hard to admit... but everyone else has been so brave. I realized recently that I gained most of my weight before the age 18--actually, I figured that my rate of gain was about 100 pounds per 5-6 years before age 18 :/. Then in the 14 years since then I…
  • Thought of another confession. Sorry for posting so much. lol In college, sometimes I would order 2 pizzas and cheesy bread on Friday night and ate it through the weekend. Sadly, Monday morning I would wake up to extremely swollen ankles--walking hurt them, guessing from the sodium. lol I maintained my weight mostly,…
  • Surprised it wasn't PIE. lol or PUDDING!! lol OMG I could watch Supernatural all day everyday (and I have... lol)
  • I did that as a teenager, not often, because it's really hard to not swallow, but I did it at times, I admit.
  • All this talk about socks made me think of another one... I don't wear socks. At all. I wear shoes that are like 3 sizes too big to give my feet room when they swell up. I can wear 4's but I have a pair of 7's that I wear because my feet swell sometimes... though mostly my feet just move around in them. I once tried…
  • Wow. So I am going onto page 58... out of 808. -.- Anyway... my confessions. I don't own a food scale. I am still averaging a pound a week, and I overestimate things to cover myself, as well as instead of setting my calories at a low level, I have a maximum goal, and I usually don't reach that, so I figure I have room for…
  • I know this post is old, but I had to reply to it. I don't know if you are still reading even. I am in the same boat as you. I am 32 and scared that I am going to die alone, because nobody is ever going to want me. I didn't have my first boyfriend until last year, and that was a very hectic relationship... we fought a lot…
