@MrM27 Because he's the one who taught me all about moderation - I asked for help and he was literally the only one who took the time to talk my issue out and help me figure out a solution. I credit many of my 82 pounds lost to him.
@arditarose Because she's really strong and determined and helpful
@lemurcat12 Always has sound, sensible advice
@diannethegeek She's so incredibly helpful to everyone.
@MamaPeach30 She's just an amazing person in general
@Liftng4Lis She's awesome and funny and a good friend
@cwolfman13 Also really helpful and funny and sensible
Aw, thanks! I don't know if I'm helpful so much as just here all the time.

The forums certainly aren't perfect but many informative posters helped steer me away from stressing over my carbs not being "low enough" and "avoiding temptation". I've had a lot more fun at family events and such thanks to you guys.
I don't think she's been mentioned, but I'd like to add @ana30670 -
Has anyone mentioned SLLrunner. I probably missed it.0

I have noticed that a lot of the "meanies" are here.
This is quite a different thread than one happening in the Motivation and Support forum right now.
For my part, again, you have given me the ability to roll my eyes and judge people who say dumb things IRL by imparting your knowledge. And judging people silently is one of my favorite things to do.
I remember the first time someone posted I was mean...my response was "finally...yes!!!!!!!!!!"0 -

So true! I was all excited that I could tell a couple people on this list that I received my first warning. Felt like I was starting to belong.0 -

I enjoy reading everyone's posts, I find a lot even entertaining at times! I find myself laughing at some(in a good way). I also lurked here back in 2013, but never got up the nerve to post. I think that actually posting and reading will help keep me on track this time!

Those are people I always look out for in posts! They know what they are talking about! There are more I'm sure. But those are the ones I can think of right now.
Aw, thanks
You're welcome. Your story is very inspiring. I started out low carb, but between you and others I finally got the nerve to eat what I like, and I found it working just as good and now I can eat spaghetti! LOL0 -
About half way through my weight loss I decided to get on the forums, I started out doing 1200 cals or lower, couldn't take it anymore, so started reading on the forums about TDEE, using food scale, etc......and then I got interested in lifting and read more listen to what the "old timers" were saying, etc.
So I want to thank you all!!0 -

I'm new (only started in January) but I know the success I've had so far is because of ALL the "meanies" listed here! Once I started lurking in the forums and reading all the "blunt" answers correcting so many of the wrong ideas I was still caring around in my head from (way too many) years of dieting, it all became simple. So, just one more thank you to everyone listed already and a few I'm sure I've yet to encounter *hugs*0

Wow. I can't believe I have been mentioned with the likes of some of these folks. Definitely not worthy.
Most have already been mentioned that have inspired me but I would like to bring up @jonnythan (I think that was his handle). Not sure he is around anymore but he is the guy who single handedly tore me to shreds in the beginning and made me "see the light". Without him, who knows? I may be on the other side of the fence preaching clean eating and sending Lustig Christmas cards. He gets a BIG thanks from me.
Also, how the hell you guys missed him.....I'm not sure and you all should be ashamed but @dieselbyte is the man. Stays on point and the physique to back up his claims.
Besides that, there are too many. From the hot gals that lift more than me to the blunt dudes that always speak the truth and everyone in between. You all know who you are. THANK YOU!0 -
Funny that all the mentioned people probably have a "mean people" thread or two floating around about them... LOL0

but instead of getting all butthurt it made me start doing my own research and I found out that most of the stuff that I thought was true was bunch of pseudo/bro science….
Yeah, I remember JoRocka whooped my *kitten* for repeating something stupid a bodybuilder friend once told me. And instead of running with my tail between my legs, I started learning. And the result was a "hardgaining ectomorph" gaining 25 lbs in 2 and a half months. Didn't quite learn properly though, as that was mostly jiggle pounds. So, now I am learning the right way to cut, with the intention of doing another, more educated, bulk in the future. Without the "mean" people, I for sure would still have no idea what I am doing, trying to get knowledge from Mens Health magazine.
awww yay!!! YAY for progress. HA- I'm harmless I swear!!! I swear!
Very happy to see this thread back- also people reading- if you make it this far- the lists of people on here... if you need some friends- this is a good shopping list/wish list if you really need some help or advice.0 -

HA HA HA- I can't remember who it was- but she was like SUPER aggressive about how "mean" I was. She flagged me all the time and called me the most condescending person on the forum.
I was like- daayumn- I've really arrived if you think I'm THAT big of an a## to dominate the forum with my sarcasm and "condescension".0 -
I haven't been called mean yet. Or gotten a strike / warning / ban... Am I foruming wrong?0

And yet, I somehow made it in here!

Oh wait, you're a mod... um... *sings songs and throws flowers, happily skipping away*
