  • for some reason, cardio power and resistance has always been my favorite video. I feel strong after I do it. my calves and inner thighs are feeling the burn for sure though, so I am looking forward to the recovery tomorrow. of course, it's followed by cardio blast which is hard as heck but it goes fast due to no repeats. I…
  • I am 24 yr old. I have 3 kids and I am a full time student/ wife, so no time for the gym. I was one week short of completing this program in October 2013. basically 3 years ago I quit smoking and put on 60 lbs. I am 5'2 and weighed 220 @ my hw. now I weigh 166. I am working towards getting to 130 but my ultimate goal is…

  • I do Insanity almost every morning on an empty stomach. However, if something happens and I have to wait a couple hours to workout, then I go ahead and eat otherwise I feel weak during my exercise. Definitely eat something afterwards, even if its not a meal, just to refuel your body.
  • Today is week 4 for me! I love the program. I got to about week 3.5 then had to stop cause of some personal medical issue, but started over about 1.5 weeks later. It took a lot to start over, I literally had to make myself do it every day cause I wasn't motivated to do the same weeks all over. But now that I have…
  • lactic acid is a bi product of ATP production (our body's energy) and it creates the muscle fatigue and soreness. The more you workout the better this will get.
  • Hey, first time posting on this challenge! my weight today is 166.4 lbs, I was 168.8 lbs two weeks ago, so off to a good start
  • I use a HRM. When I wasn't using one I logged under aerbocis, high impact on plyo days. The HRM I use is just a cheap watch one w/out the chest strap. I am on a budget so I do what I can. I try to occasionally take my HR manually to compare accuracy and so far so good. I burn anywhere from 500-700 depending on the video…
  • I kept thinking as the show went on how unhealthy he was looking. he looks great now. I am glad he is getting healthy.
  • I am 5'2, 165 lbs. I don't have a real goal weight yet, I am just trying for now to get to the 150's, I pretty much will stop losing when I like what I see with my clothes off. I do Insanity 6x's a week, run 1-2 x's a week, zumba 1-2 x's a week. My calorie goal is 1500 and I only eat back exercise calories on BIG burn days…
  • Pure Cardio is my favorite one. I love it because you aren't do repeats of the same moves, so it makes the workout go so much faster, and you don't have to repeat moves you don't like. I know this is probably a weak spot for many, but I have the level change workouts. They wear me out!!! But I have seen such an improvement…
  • awesome transformation!! truly inspiring.
  • I would LOVE to lose 15 lbs by Thanksgiving! The weekends are also where I struggle the most. I have to figure out a way not over indulge. I too have not seen the results I want lately because of my weekend sabotage, and have remained the same weight about 2 months. I am 5'2, alltogether I have lost 55lbs. I workout 6 days…
  • Amazing!!! that is such a great feeling. When I got to the 50 lb mark, I kept thinking how did I carry that around? My daughter who will be seven shortly weighs 50lbs. Isn't that nuts to think about? We have lost little humans :)
  • I don't mind the push ups so much, but the level 1 and level 2 drills on month one are so HARD!! I can't get through them all either.
  • I am on week two! I freaking love this program! I hate it when I am doing it, but love it the rest of the time. I literally lay in a puddle of sweat at the end, but it is so worth it. I am feeling stronger, and more flexible. He takes a lot of time to work on stretching and balance, which I wasn't aware if when I started.…
  • I am obsessed with vegetable straws. They have sea salt flavor and ranch so far. They are 38 straws=130 calories. They are gluten free blah blah blah, so just about everyone can eat them. I get mine at Wal-Mart in the cereal aisle, I don't know where else sells them, but I def recommend at least trying them cause they are…
  • I am 5'2. When I started out I ate 1200 calories, but as my exercise regimen intensified I bumped up to 1500. I don't usually eat my calories back, unless I have a big burn day. I am currently doing Insanity 6 days a week, along with zumba and running once or twice a week. When I combine workouts in a day, I burn big…
  • You are a very pretty girl! You are doing fantastic! Keep up the great work.
  • wow what a transformation!
  • I am!! I have three kids also. My husband and I are doing Insanity together 6 days a week, in the morning. Our time is limited too, I am full time student, work weekends, and he works nights. We just do what we can. I do zumba 2 days a week, but haven't since I started Insanity. We are on our 2nd week of it. Zumba has…
  • that's such great progress. fantastic work and good luck on ur journey!!
  • supposed to say great glucose test
  • the term reverse is overkill. you can control it with your diet. you may even have great glucose but you will have to change your habits for life. it's important that you develop a fitness and diet plan you can live with for rest of your life.
  • Holy cow! You look great! Dont worry what other people say. I can say I have done the supplement thing, and it was hard to maintain and not gain back, but NOT impossible! And I actually read your post and saw that you said you rarely logged correctly so I have no judgement on your logged calories. I don't eat back calories…
  • Holy *kitten*!! That's what I said! You look amazing. Your story is amazing, sad, cause I may not have been right where you were, but I have felt bad, really bad about myself. Not just cause I was overweight but because I was unhealthy. You are inspirational!
  • I freakin LOVE Jessica Smith. I don't follow her challenges cause I like to pick my own off her Youtube TV channel. She kicks my butt though and I LOVE it! I like Fitness Blender too, but I think Jessica engages with her audience better, makes me feel like she is really encouraging me.
  • Amazing transformation. I have been working out and loosing weight for a year, but my husband literally just jumped on the bandwagon this week. It has been fun seeing him exercise. He only has like 25 lbs to loose, and I have like 30 lbs left to loose, so I am sort of happy he just got into. Its a little extra motivation…
