Thanks for all the advice & encouragement! I am a little concerned w/injury. Last time I taped up my feet & ankles, but couldn't hardly walk on the right one for a few days after. I could feel it those last couple miles, but I refuse to stop for injury if I can take it. Illness is a different story. Think I'm gonna do it.…

Thanks for posting & to everyone who replied. I have the exact same problem! I hate it!

I was the Mountain Dew queen! Try tea or coffee. Use sweeteners or splenda if needed (not sugar).
-
I take a multi, fish oil, vitamin D & calcium w/vitamin D in it. I've heard good things about cinnamon as well.

Almost finished w/P90X. Thinking about the Brazilian Butt Lift next.

Congrats on the smaller sizes! and very true on focusing on what you HAVE accomplished. It can be hard to get your mind past the "end goal".

I'm the same way! I would have to get up at 5am to exercise. For me, that's the only way to "guarantee" exercise time some days, but I just can't do it. It also leaves me exhausted all day long & I don't have the energy to "bring it" like I would in the afternoon/evening. I'd love to be able to get up & get it done. But I…

chuisle - I just looked up that Warrior Dash. Holy cow, that's like a military style obstacle course! What an accomplishment it would be to finish. And 25lbs weights? That's awesome! I only have the different weighted bands & 8lb hand weights. Been scoping out yard sales & craigslist for more weights & a punching bag.

Thanks you guys for the encouragement on the smoking! I hope I can stop. After this much time, I should be jogging & running by now (that's how I was before cigs). I know that is what's holding me back. plc765 - thanks for the info on the DVDs. I'm really thinking about getting both the JM 6pk in 6 & the Brazilian butt…

@ Cmuchoa - I thank you also for your story! Even though the thought of long term health problems isn't a concern right now (as it wasn't for you at the time), I know it is a reality & we all need to try & prevent it. Appreciate you sharing!

Thank you so much for posting this!! I was just going to post something, lol. Today is my 105th day on MFP. I knew I couldn't do the diet thing & stop smoking all at once. But now...I feel I'm ready. I'm tired of the non-improving stamina when I exercise. What's the point if I cannot improve & I know I could've lost more…

P90X! Almost on Phase3. It's hard, but it works. Lost 6in in the waist already. Thighs have gone down a bit, but hips haven't moved :( I keep hearing that the lower half always comes off last.

That's awesome that you found a local track club! I did a 1/2 marathon a couple years ago. I'd love to finish another one. Gotta build my endurance & stamina a bit more before I tackle another one. Softball season has started again for me. It's nice to be with a group like that. Doesn't make it seem like exercise & is alot…

AMEN! Couldn't agree more. Trying to eat healthy is more costly. Even for a salad at McDonalds!

I started at 150 & my goal weight is 130-135. I'm down to 141, but it's taken me almost 90 days to get there.

I could've written your post as well! Going through the same thing. Only mine has been more than once a week! Carbs is my weekness. If I just have a slice of bread, crackers , or something more filling I can last longer between meals & feel satisfied. But carbs = calories. It's frustrating!

Right now, my best area is my torso, followed by lower legs. I've lost the most inches in my waist & legs are getting more muscular. It's the "spare tire" region that needs work. Yes, making the swimsuit bottoms a nightmare at times. It will be alot of hard work to get that area down, lol.

I'm with ya on everything here. I'd be ok w/the hips if the thighs would just go down! I'm trying to stay focused as well on the good things - waist line smaller, I'm stronger, etc. Thighs & the fat around the butt (around bend of leg) are just not moving. GRRR Oh....and I agree about the skinny jeans & jeggings as well,…

Just keep with it. You will see results! I'm doing P90X Lean, which basically has cardio & strength alternate days, & a day of yoga. 6 days in a row, then a day of rest. I can't always fit in 6 days in a row & lately have to substitute the cardio videos for something else. The strength days splits the different parts of…

Thanks for the info! I can already tell a difference doing the P90X yoga & the other strength videos. I can do so much more than when I started. Anyone else having trouble w/the thighs & hips? I heard that's the last place you loose. Right now, I can't see me comfortable in bikini bottoms. Gotta wear the swim shorts!

Thanks guys for all the info! I wanted to learn more about it before jumping in. I found one local studio along w/reviews. About half were good/have bad. Another studio mentioned it's only 85 degrees. I may want to try that one first, lol.

I signed up for a 1/2 marathon w/TNT, but didn't raise enough money. I still entered the race on my own. They had meetings you could attend that give good tips, things I was not aware of. Try to make those meetings. One thing I learned w/training for distance races is that it is not a diet plan. You have to make sure…

Vitamin D! I had to start taking it because I was low, but it doesn't hurt to get extra. I take vitamin D, calcium, fish oil & a multi-vitamin a day & I feel alot better now. I can tell a difference when I've skipped a few days. I am more tired & it's harder to get outta bed.
-
I've been the exact same way this past week. Sometimes when I can find the time to workout, I'm so tired that I either don't do it or don't give it my all. Read the success stories on MFP. It helps me w/motivation!

Great work! And thanks for the HRM info & the shake recipe.

I am in Phase2 of the P90X lean program. I have lost 9lbs, 6" off my waist, 1" off chest & 3/4" off hips. Sorry - don't have pics. The soreness is hard, but stick with it. You'll have muscles sore that you won't notice until doing certain things. It will get better after week 2 or so. I couldn't do the Ab Ripper the first…

I second that! Everything she said. I took one back I got at Kmart. Wasn't sure if it was really off on calories, not as sensitive as others, if I didn't have my numbers in there right, etc. Any suggestions that don't cost and arm & a leg would be appreciated!
