  • Ok. Thanks everyone. My babies are 6 months so my milk is in pretty well. I was losing weight quickly at first but I've been eating poorly lately so there hasn't been anymore weight loss. I still have 15lbs until I reach my prepregnancy weight. My babies are big eaters. My girl weighs 17lbs2oz and my boy weighs 18lbs2oz.…

  • This is not a healthy goal at all. Maybe if you were obese it would be possible with extreme calorie restriction. But you don't have much to lose (if any at all). 132 is a healthy weight for 5'2". Anyway, you will likely lose more muscle than fat in such a short period of time.
  • Thank you so much for the positive motivation! Good luck to you and best wishes!

  • My doc suggested more fruits and veggies added to my diet before putting me on meds. I see him again in June for some more blood work. Hopefully this lifestyle change will allow my body to correct itself. It's just frustrating to work so hard and not see any results. I guess some people just have to work harder. Lol.…

  • Congrats on your weight loss! My doc wants to hold off on pursuing the medication route. He suggested upping my daily servings of fruits and veggies hoping that my body will correct itself. I think I just need to be patient yet aggressive and consistent. It’s just frustrating to work so hard and not see results as fast as…

  • I have an appointment in June for more blood work. He suggested to double up on my fruit and veggie servings. I was eating around 5, he wants me to eat 10 (which I do on most days, but it's difficult to eat 10 servings every day). He wants to see if by changing my lifestyle, eating healthier and exercising more, my body…

  • 29 yrs old. 5'2.25" currently 158-160lbs. 30% body fat, 37 in bust, 29 in waist, 41 in hip.. Not counting on the scale. But my goal is around 22-25% body fat (for now.)
  • Yes. I had blood work done by my doc. He mentioned slow thyroid, also low testosterone (estrogen dominance). I've been on a calorie deficit for a month now (probably longer but actually counting calories for a month) and I exercise intensely 3 days out of the week and moderately 2-3 days out of the week (have been doing…

  • I'm celiac so I've had to cut it out completely. However, many people have gluten sensitivity, so cutting down is beneficial. Some advice though, if you chose to still consume wheat, make sure that it isn't GMO. Here are a few reads on GMO's: http://www.foodrenegade.com/the-rise-of-gluten-intolerance/…
  • Your hard work has paid off immensely!! FANTASTIC JOB! Just amazing
  • AWESOME JOB! Your hard work has really paid off!!
  • OMG! Me too! I love lifting weights.. And actually the first week I LOST 3 lbs (probably mostly water) But now the scale is going up!! I feel myself getting much stronger and my body firming up.. However, the scale does not reflect my hard work!! So frustrating!!
  • FANTASTIC JOB!! YOU LOOK OUTSTANDING! Your hard work is really paying off
  • I can totally relate! I eat healthy, watch my calories, exercise at least 5 days a week and I've lost 3 pounds. My fiance on the other hand, makes one change, stops drinking soda (I don't drink it, and didn't before I started MFP).. and he loses 10 pounds!! WTH??

  • All calories are not equal. 1200 calories of cupcakes does not equal 1200 calories of celery...
  • Organic dark chocolate (70% cacao) satisfies me!
  • I love when women focus more on getting stronger rather than getting "skinny". You look amazing and healthy! Muscle > Bones
  • That guy is lame! Lol. I don’t use gloves so I have calluses. But gloves are excellent! Not only do they prevent calluses but they give you a better grip which can help you lift, either more reps and/or heavier weights! I should get some. Don't worry about what that guy said. He was probably just trying to show off and…
  • Houston, TX!
  • CHOCOLATE! But I've found organic dark chocolate, 70% cocao. Two squares satisfies my craving! Soooo yummy!

  • I'm in! Did squats at the gym yesterday so I'll start today on Day 2!
  • I used to be bloated and gassy all the time! Found out I'm celiac (autoimmune reaction to gluten- wheat, barley, and rye protein). I've cut out gluten from my diet.. hardly any bloating or gas anymore. Many people have reactions to certain foods but are unaware. Listen to your body.. maybe talk to your doc
  • Use unrefined coconut oil! Super yummy!
  • Fantastic advice! Eat CLEAN!
  • How can I join this group or a motivational group like it? Please I need the motivational help! Thanks!
  • Also new, need support, and 3rd year student!
  • You can use coconut oil in place of other cooking oils or butter. It's easy to cook and bake with. I love to sauté veggies with it. Also, you can add some to a blended smoothie. Great for moisturizing skin too! Use unrefined and organic if possible!
  • You look outstanding! Your hard work really paid off! Congrats!
