Per the rules. One should only run if being chased. And even then, one should only run fast enough to prevent capture.

I'm right in the middle of the USA - Missouri. I really hope to find it playing! If not I will have to watch it here a few more times a month than normal in order to celebrate!

I have no experience with the Look pedals, but have been using the Shimano (the cheapest ones they make to try them out). I have had no issues with them. I would not think twice about purchasing them again. The only issue with them that I have noticed was when they were new, they took a bit of use before they would quickly…

This will really help you on your way to do pullups! You might even try with your feet on a chair on the other side of the table when trying these. Make sure the table is stable for this though.

I have been using the fuel band for over a year now. I do not log the calories, in fact, I have even turned the calorie display off (only fuel and time displayed now). I use the fuel measurement as another metric to determine if I am as active at work as the day before (just compare myself to myself and try to keep moving…

I have some pretty simple goals this year: 1 - enter a couple of races. 2 - complete a couple of races 3 - become a stronger rider 4 - more group rides 5 - have fun!

I assume that a 2 oz shot should be using 16 grams of coffee (standard double espresso basket). I count each double that I make as 2 oz (actual shots are closer to 2.5 oz including crema - 25 to 30 second pulls). So I count a double as 6. And yes, I do weigh it out every time and even measure the tamping pressure to be…

I accomplished number 9 this morning - 30 degrees and wet/ice! Brisk!!!

I also use the trainer and rollers all year, but I started using them last winter to get some more ride time in (mainly due to lack of light during the week). I will say that while I hate the rollers, nothing has helped with my riding technique more. The rollers tend to show me where I need work on my spinning.

Do I get bonus points for creating new compound words?

you need a designated driver to drive you home because your chest and shoulders are spent.

As long as you have no problems getting to sleep after a workout, you should be good. I work out at night and have found that I need about an hour to unwind after my workout or I have problems falling asleep.

I am into photography. I love to shoot film and have recently devoted most of my efforts toward large format film. And yes, I am such a control freak about it that I develop and print all of my own shots.

I started riding a road bike last year at around 296. I would venture to say that a lot of bikes would be fine. You will just want to avoid some of the high end carbon frames and parts (but these would be more expensive anyway), stick to the aluminum and steel bikes. Some of the lighter weight wheels are not as strong but…

I will not eat anything before my morning cardio which is about 15-30 minutes on the bike (HIIT). For my nightly cardio, I will eat before and I spend about an hour on the bike (slower easier miles).

This +1

A while back we had a few people replace their chairs with stability balls. I think the idea was that it used more core to hold an upright position and you had to keep good posture to stay on them.

I really like mine. I got it in December and have used it until early April when the button quit working. Nike had me return it on them and they are shipping me a new one. The customer service was great. I am looking forward to getting it back.

I want in! My fuel band should be back any day (being replaced due to button quit working). I have been using it since I got it in December.

I like to do no food before my morning cardio. I do eat before and sometimes during (protein shake if I am doing a really long session) lifting in the evening.

Test ride all that you are looking at. You will find that you like certain bikes more than others due to frame geometry. Most entry level bikes tend to be pretty equal quality and performance wise.

Heng's It's a small local gym that is 24/7 and extremely hard core (no classes, no sauna, etc). Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful.

I love to hop on the bicycle and go for a nice long (hour or two) and slow cruise and enjoy the ride.

7 Days of bike time (on road or on trainer) in the morning. 6 days lifting at night. Saturday is my only day off hitting the gym and on that day I am putting some nice leisurely miles on the bike.

I have a fuelband and really like using it. You have to realize that it is just another measurement to use like I use miles ridden, weight lifted, etc. It helps me compare how much I am moving around in my daily activities.
-
I find this to be true for me. I like to drop some weight from my max and extremely focus on form for at least the last full set. I can usually feel the results the next day.

They are pretty much needed for me to get a good shrug set in. For other back exercised I tend to use them occasionally.
