  • There is an amazing recipe in The Passover Table by Susan Friedland for Vegetable Cutlets- we made them tonight and they look amazing. There is only a little bit of Matzah meal in it along with only two tablespoons of oil. Let me know if you all want the recipe.

  • Figure out the time you spend on each and log each one individually. I have to do that when I move from the elliptical to the bike or walking the dog. You burn differently with each so I always want to make sure I get the correct credit for each. I want to do a 5k sometime soon myself- good luck to you on your journey!
  • Check out the On Demand fitness packages if you have a company that does extra channels. There are several 15-30m programs that are excellent. I like to do the dancing ones, but have enjoyed some of the more involved programs, like the ones from Jillian Michaels. Good luck!
  • We have some 100 calorie sandwich thins that are really good if you put some shredded cheese on them and make a grilled cheese breakfast. One sandwich with 1/4 cup of shredded kraft mexican cheese mix is about 210 calories. Or you can do peanut butter instead of cheese on them to have a little more flavor.
  • I really like the royal chocolate ones- they help with the sweet tooth problem that I've been having without the guilt. Good luck!
  • I like to drink a lot of water when I start getting hungry. It is very filling and you don't have to worry about empty calories. If you want, add the flavor packets, they can make the water more exciting. Not to mention that water helps you lose weight. Good luck.

  • I love the elliptical trainer at the gym. It seems to work everything and I feel like I did something well when I get off of it exausted. It combines a stair and treadmill motion, along with making you move your arms. Plus it burns a ton of calories.

  • I use crystal light, diet snapple, and totally fit 4-c packets. We have a few 20oz bottles at home and just throw one packet in for 20oz of water.   • I like the slim fast shakes on days where I don't have time for a full meal but need something before working out. The cappachino ones are pretty good. Skip the vanilla- it just tastes a bit off. I just bought the chocolate ones today and will let you know how they taste if you'd like.
