  • I will join in as well if it isn't too late. I actually started both the 100 pushup and 100 squats program about 3 weeks ago but then my mother became ill and I have been by her side every day until she passed away last week so I kinda forgot all about this program.
  • I couldn't agree more. I have so much fun learning new things that I don't realize until after the class is over that I am sweating profusely and my muscles are screaming at me. I am studying a Mixed martial art of Krav Maga, Jui jitsu, and Tae Kwon Do in case anyone was wondering.
  • I was in the same boat as you. I don't usually get to bed until midnight or 1 am so I didn't want to get up and workout at 4:30am. I finally got to the point that I couldn't see gaining anymore weight (299lbs) and started forcing myself to get up at 4:30am no matter what time I went to bed. I started doing this the last…
  • The Kinect is amazing. I have Dance Central (love it and it will make you sweat), Adventures (comes with the kinect the kids love it), and Your Shape. Your Shape is pretty good. There are some movements that the sensor doesn't quite pick up but I tell you one thing that game will have you breathing hard and sweating . It…
  • He won't divorce you. Thats how I got my bike just finally got tired of the wife telling me no so I just went out and bought it.
  • Anytime is the right time! especially if I have time to set up the camera.
  • I live like 20 minutes away from the University of South Carolina. Nothing like seeing women walking around wearing shirts with the word "*kitten*" on it. or wearing those little shorts with *kitten* on their butts.
  • I don't have any chaps or anything for my legs but my jacket that I have keeps my upper body pretty warm down into the mid 30s. I ride with my jacket, long johns (top and bottoms) Balaclava, winter gloves, and full face helmet during the winter time and the only part that really gets cold is my legs. Living here in the…
  • Sounds like you might just have to take his for a ride or just go get one of your own.. ;-)
  • Let us know what your impressions are once you get the set and use it.
  • Count me in. March1st weight: 282
  • Monday weigh in time. I am at 282.0 so I didn't quite make that 280 goal. Oh well I am still happy with 8lbs lost this past month and 13 lbs total in a month and a half.
  • I do have a HRM that came with the elliptical. It is a Polar (forget the designation) that straps around your chest. I have been doing mainly the weight loss routine the past few days and one day I actually set it up on the manual program and ran for another 25 minutes in that mode. I have been mixing in sprints with…
  • Sorry it took so long to report my weight this week. It was 285.4 I had a very bad week. Found out my mother has advanced cancer and then my cousin was killed in a car wreck so needless to say I haven't been home but 2 days of the past week and a half. Been living on fast food and not able to work out. Great job to…
  • Well I gained a pound this past week. I weighed myself on Sunday and it was 282, Then I weighed myself again this morning and it was 284.4 Oh well Going to have to keep working at it I guess.

  • Great job man! It is changes like yours and the ladies you referenced on here earlier in the thread that make me believe that it canbe done and motivate me to want to keep going so that I can see and enjoy my success in the future.
  • congratulations and great job. It is always awesome to be able to see the results of all your hard work.
  • I have a Precor like they have at Gold's gym. When I was out shopping for an elliptical all the onesI tried at like Sears and Walmart were all wobbly and just didn't seem very safe. I ended up paying $4500 for mine 4 or 5 years ago and it is solid as a rock. I really think that old saying about you get what you pay for…
  • I have both Wii fit and Xbox360 w/kinect and hands down the Kinect is better if you really want a work-out. The Wii is just way too easy to cheat with. Everything you do with the Wii can be faked. You don't have to do the actual movements just shake your hand the right way. The kinect makes you do it the right way or…
  • Welcome Sara and best of luck! I too was in the Navy and wish that I could go back in time and maintain the weight loss that I acheived during my time in.
  • Welcome from a fellow southerner and best of luck,
  • Well I had kind of a cheat day. I worked out in the morning with push ups and 35 minutes on the elliptical. Then spent about 2 hours carrying furniture up and down the stairs in my house (How do I count that for exercise?) Unfortunately a friend was having a bonfire that he only does once a year so after having a quick…
  • I have also started doing a mixed martial arts class that I make it to about once or twice a week (due to my work schedule). I have the Wii fit and used it a little bit but you can cheat so easily on the Wii that it just didn't do anything for me. I got a Kinect for my Xbox360 earlier this month and bought the Dance…
