I, too, suffer from the disappearing tatas. But, I have also lost my inability to walk with my head held high. I can buy a good bra, but I can't fake self esteem!

The K-Mart closest to me closed yesterday, so everything in the store was 90-95% off. The changing rooms were closed, so I was unable to try anything on. The two large workout tanks I grabbed fit great (I like them loose) once I got home to try them on. One is kind of sheer, and one has a very open back, but I can…

What a great way to memorialize him. And, Betty White rules!!

I just love threads like these! Reading these stories has been inspiring from day 1, and I come back to them whenever I need to remind myself why I started. 3 years ago, I was over 300 lbs, and was diagnosed with high cholesterol at 30 years old. That is what did it for me. Something in my head just clicked, and I…

How when you were obese, you loathed the summertime, but now you are glad it is here so you won't freeze all the time, and wear a sweater in the air conditioning!

Yesterday I shaved my poodle and it didn't bother my back one bit! Let me clarify - my black and white standard poodle, lol, not anything else :D ;)

I was over 220 lbs with all 4 of my pregnancies, and had 2 c-sections. Having lost 150 lbs from my highest weight over the last 3 years, I have lots of loose skin that hangs over my scar(s). I know that in my case it will never go away, having spent an entire decade obese, but I am happy to have loose skin as opposed to…

MFP itself will not track steps. You would need a pedometer app or a fitness tracker to log your steps into MyFitnessPal. Some phones have built-in pedometers, which are great if you always have your phone on you. If you do not, a separate pedometer or fitness tracker may be for you. I love my FitBit Charge, but that is my…

I completely agree. No-name oatmeal, bread-store Saturday specials (mine does 5 loaves for $5(including whole wheat)), try hitting farmers market up just before closing, they may offer their produce for super cheap just to not take it home. Also, ask your local grocery store when they do meat or produce mark-downs, like my…

You can't help anyone if you are unhealthy. As opposite as it seems, you have to help yourself before you can help others. A strong you equals a strong shoulder for your family and your responsibilities.

I used to dread the gym. But the more you go, the more you'll crave it. I started off by simply walking, and using the app Daily Workouts Free. Find something you like, whether it is walking, TRX, Zumba, yoga, or weight training. The goal is to make it fun.

390. And feeling proud!

Another unexpected result of weight loss........ people not recognizing you...... and you being glad. I can walk past some former acquaintances without them even recognizing me. Very nice. ;)

This is so true. I wear a size 10 in 1990's Mom jeans, but a size 6 in Old Navy Sweetheart jeans? On the other hand, spandex IS my friend

Down about 15 more since then, with 15 more until goal.

I am glad this is normal. I almost freaked out when I was doing my hair yesterday morning. I have never seen those bones before!

Everyone has made such wonderful progress! I am not done yet, as I want to lose another 20ish pounds. In December 2012 I was 301. In June 2013 I was about 275ish. July 2015 at 160ish. I am 5'4" and 33 - Mommy of 4.

THE BEST!!!!

Great advice here! I lost the first 90 pounds with walking and staying in my calories. The next 50 pound loss was due to walking, staying in my calories, and adding whatever sounded fun or interesting. Body weight exercises like squats, planks, pushups (I couldn't squat until after I lost the first 100, it hurt my knees…
