Charge HR user, considered the Surge but couldn't justify the extra expense as my phone does GPS tracking etc. I am loving the Charge HR, moved up from a Fitbit One and now looking for a few motivational friends. https://www.fitbit.com/user/2GM7JR

Trying to get the hang of this forum posting and messing it up! I have a Fitbit Charge HR too and looking for a little motivation. I just found out you can't delete these posts as a user, only alter within 1 hour.

Totally agree with you Joshdann, used online calculation which deducted my exercise and it worked at first but then my body adapted to working at that level and the weight loss stalled. I tried TDEE after that which worked at first but then once again my body adapted, maybe the answer is to keep changing methods of…

Hi there, I have a Polar Wearlink + Bluetooth which I bought because it works with my Galaxy S3. I use the Digifit android app and it works great. A note of caution if you use an iphone 4 or 5, you will need a Polar H7 Wearlink, as always it would be best to check out their website. Using a HRM gives you so much more…

I have started to keep my sodium and sugar levels within the limits and have seen the scales heading south. I used to eat a lot of brown bread, fruits and nuts thinking they were healthy, well they are in the right portions! I found I was getting excess sugars from the hidden sugars in the brand of bread I was using and…

I agree with everyone here regarding learning about macros. I started off without MFP eating what I thought were 'healthy' foods and increased my weight by 3kg which was very disheartening. I decided I needed to log my food portions and joined this site, this showed me two things 1. My portion sizes were way too large, and…

Great advice everyone, sorry to hear of your experience angryjake but thanks for sharing, it takes more to admit mistakes than post glowing reports here. I took a week off jogging after finishing W1, did some stretching exercises tonight before going out to start W2 training and jogged slowly this time. I managed the 30…

Thank you to all that answered, there are lots of great ideas and advice in your replies. I certainly need to rethink my schedule and increase my hydration as well as possibly change my running shoes soon. A special mention to sb4480 who has not only given me some great stretching and warm up ideas, but also changed my…

Thanks for the welcome, it's great to see so many motivated and helpful people here. I take a 600ml bottle of water when I go out but should hydrate more really. Thanks for the advice

I had some joint pains and did a little online research on the subject, it horrified me what turned up regarding diet soft drinks. The artificial sweeteners apparently cause no end of bad things to happen to your body so I have stopped drinking the diet drinks. My joints feel so much better now and I don't seem to get so…
