True story. Here is the study abstract: We subjected a statistically significant number of subjects to pictures of breasts in various sizes, shapes, and colors. Upon such viewing of images, a high percentage experienced heart palpitations. Over the course of time, the palpitations were sustained in a manner that resulted…

I suspect you've spent some time at road tracks--your list is full of cars that handle curves well (or can with the right driver), or they have good power-to-weight ratios. I am sentimental myself about E36s. We bought our affordable dream car last year (Subaru BRZ): Handles beautifully--love the moment when you hit the…

Just checking in here to say hello. Last week, I was only able to get 2 of my lift sessions in, and on my Saturday morning one I started to feel a strain in right forearm when I stabilized the barbell coming down from my OHPs. Also, I am feeling some rotator cuff tendonitis, so aside from squats I have been taking it a…

I love this!! Tina

Working after deadlifts = no bueno

Super easy to get a bag of dog food scanned at the grocery store. Extra core strength makes it easier to stabilize when you're putting big boxes on the top shelf of storage. I can drag preteen out of bed in the morning.

I'm kind of shocked that Invictus hasn't been already posted: Invictus Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but…

I lose my appetite when I'm stressed. Last year, I was in charge of logistics of bringing a team of 13 preteen boys and accompany families to a soccer tournament in Las Vegas and had lost 3 lbs over the course of that trip.

Mine has grown to support me. He bought me equipment for our weight/workout room downstairs, and he has also started watching his calories and working out as well (and has lost 30 lbs in the process). He knows my standard staple items (egg whites, almond milk, whole grain bread, lean meats, ice cream) and buys them while…

When deciding where to go for dinner with your spouse, your conversation starts with "So I have XX calories left...." When you try and think of funny labels for your custom cardio entries before you go to sleep.

Ray Lamontagne - Hold You In My Arms http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mk9wK8CC0fQ I mean, it's set to a waltz tempo. You can't get any better than that.

Les Mills Combat is the Beachbody distributed DVD version of the Body Combat class that's taught in gyms. I completed a 60 day program--I think the Supreme Warrior schedule? I had martial arts experience before, so it was right up my alley but for what it's worth I didn't get bored at all--in fact, I've moved on to other…

I was wondering what you were doing outside of the chit-chat forum, but then your original post had the following words in it: -loin -stuffed -sprayed OF COURSE--this is, after all a Gato thread. Anyway, I prefer my sweet peppers stuffed with meat.

Elliott Hulse (the Strengthcamp guy) posted a video where he said motivation is underrated, but consistency was the real key. If you wait around for amass that amazing feeling where you're absolutely dying to work out, it's never going to happen. Find something that you enjoy, and just start doing it.

summertime_girl--so sorry to hear about your pup. They become members of our family after a while, and we treat them as our kiddos (except with a lot of the crying). Here is our beagle-doberman mix that we adopted from a beagle rescue organization about 7 years ago. We're not exactly sure what age he is.

I'd be curious too--post/articles/broscience ramblings are all over the place!

I don't have anything else to add except to say that you should learn to TRUST YOURSELF--all the knowledge, tools and support that you've gained that enabled you to lose almost 100 lbs will still be there. If for some reason you up your calories and find yourself gaining fat, just know that you've lost fat in the past and…

I don't have tomorrow off, but once I'm freed from my desk jockey responsibilities, Imma dance.

I play a similar role for others, but I had to learn that to hold myself to the unattainable standard of being everyone's rock--including my own--I end up damaging myself because I have nothing left to give to myself. You don't have to think that you must go it alone on this. It won't make you stronger in then end--but it…

:drinker: My son is going to be pissed to open the fridge and find that I drank all of his chocolate milk.

We have a beagle-doberman mix that we adopted from a beagle rescue organization. We lucked out-he doesn't howl at all (and he is great cuddler).

Okay, so long as it's Super Moist.

I just can't decide!

I can't find a picture, but good old-fashioned red twists are my favorite. Not Twizzlers, not Red Vines (although those will do in a pinch), I'm talking about the kind that you find at the roadside stand in the summer. There is a brand that they carry at Tractor Supply Company called Home Town Candies. On the way back from…

I think chocolate milk is mostly for high endurance athletes due to high carb and high protein content. We always have some in our fridge for our 13 year old son (who is in travel soccer and practices 3 time a week with 2 games on the weekends).

Gotta bring this back to the first page of the forum for all the new-to-maintenance folks (congrats on making your weight goals).

You mean, find the average of your total daily calories? I went back over 2 month's worth of total daily calories and put them in an Excel spreadsheet and used the "average" function (but I'm sure a calculator works too). Or do you mean increasing calories gradually? Pick a number you are comfortable with (100 seems like a…

Have you averaged your total calorie daily intake over the past two months or so? Being on the smaller side myself (5'1" and 100 lbs), I switched to TDEE using this calculation because I found myself in this abysmal cycle of trying to do more cardio just so that I could eat more. I got burnt out--even of doing things that…

I actually don't increase by 5 lbs--I think it will depend on your current weight and body characteristics and like others have mentioned, where you are in your progress. FYI, I am somewhat on the petite side so I go up in 2.5 lb increments via fractionals. I started the program when I was doing 5-6 days cardio, and then…

I've done this twice, once before a road trip! cruisin_scrapper--thank you for the video. It helped me tremendously. I was able to bump my weight up and finish all 5 sets!
