  • ... I may have eaten a spoonful of it straight on occasion. And this is why I should always keep real chocolate in the house.
  • Just a bone to pick with the music bit-- guitar is definitely fun, lends itself to learning popular songs and singing. But I think it's better to start with piano (my instrument, so I'm prejudiced) since all the notes are laid out in front of you, it makes it easier to understand theoretical concepts, which makes learning…
  • How are you working out in 89 degree weather?! Tell me you secrets! :P
  • And gelato, and dark chocolate, and nutella...
  • Try to find a low-calorie or healthier version of what you want. I don't like soda much, but there are lavender- and vanilla-flavoured sodas that I'm in love with, 60 calories per bottle and they help with sugar cravings. If you want something sweet, try eating some fruit like an orange that takes a long time to eat, or a…
  • I agree about the sizing thing-- although for me, I have trousers from size 0 to size 4, though most of them are 2s, and I can fit into all of them, which really shouldn't be the case. Though I think if you know which are tighter/looser/whatever and how they fit you, you can still keep track of the changes.
  • I don't have access to a scale at the moment, which is a bit frustrating. So, by default, I'm going by the mirror, and how well my clothes fit, and what others notice. It would be nice to be able to keep track of my progress in terms of pounds, though.
  • I think maintenance is harder, because moderation is difficult for me. I end up either eating a relatively low amount of calories, or eating whatever the hell I want even when I'm not hungry. It's sort of difficult to just eat a constant amount. I can't just allow myself a bit more leeway, a few hundred more calories. Give…
  • 1. Soy sauce (seriously, makes everything better. I even use it instead of salad dressing, did that before I started trying to lose weight.) 2. Celery-- makes you a nicer person, too, apparently. 3. Tea! All sorts, though I drink mostly earl grey and english breakfast, and then green for midday and mint for evening. 4.…
  • If you're trying to keep within your calorie limit, you might end up eating lots of vegetables and other healthy things anyway, since they don't have a lot of calories. But eat whatever you want-- there was a day when I ate pizza and ice cream, and still ended up netting 0 calories (not that I recommend that-- stay with…
  • I don't pay that much attention to the scale, although that's mostly because I don't have regular access to one. It's rewarding to see the numbers falling, but I concentrate more on how I look and feel. I'll have reached my goal weight when I'm happy with my appearance, energy level, etc.
  • So, I'm aware that this won't be a popular opinion here, but I think that after a while if you've been eating healthily, you shouldn't stress about the numbers. Just drink when you're thirsty. Your body will tell you what it needs. I do count unsweetened tea as water, since that's essentially all it is.
  • Try drinking a lot of tea or cold water-- tea is lovely because it makes you feel full, and it tastes good :3 also, you could snack on something like celery that's filling but has next to no calories.
  • I'm 20, trying to lose around 30 pounds, though I'd be satisfied with 20. Add if you like!
  • I second (or third, or fourth) the idea of tea, which I drink pretty much constantly. Another thing I use is those teeth-whitening-strip-things, which I put on a bit after I've brushed my teeth. They actually prevent you from putting anything in your mouth for about an hour, so that's helpful.
  • Vegetarian here, have been since I was 5, but hardly a shining example of a healthy food intake. Today, for example, I ate almost nothing but ice cream. I promise that doesn't usually happen. My logging is a little sporadic, but most days are there.
  • Yes, I would like a scale, but I am a starving student and food and books are more important than a scale if I can find one that I can use for free :P
  • I'm at about 120 right now, but my goal weight is similar :P I could use a bit of motivation right now. Add me if you like!
  • I also need motivation after being off track for about a month. I'm still vegetarian as I always have been, but still not that healthy, although I'm actually making an effort now :P feel free to add me!
  • Interesting fact for all of the people saying "arsenic"-- interestingly enough, you can consume very, very small amounts of arsenic quite safely as a homeopathic cure for insomnia.
  • Hi ^^ I like the lolita style, though I'm pretty much broke at the moment, so no pretty clothes for me T^T but it sounds like we have similar goals, so feel free to add me as a friend-- I'm a newbie so I need more friends here!
  • I'm around 5'2" or 5'3", currently a bit over 120, hoping to get down to 100 or so.
  • Age: 20 Gender: Female Height: 5'2" or 5'3" SW: 130 CW: 120-ish, last time I had a scale GW: 100 Twin, find me!! :3
  • I know it's a bit late, but I'm in! I need some accountability XD SW: 130 CW: 120 Goal for May: 110 UGW: 100
  • Oh, yeah, I'm 5'2"-5'3"- not quite sure- and a little above 120 pounds, though I have quite a thin frame- I'd be lighter if I hadn't spent the past couple of years emotionally binging all the freaking time. So yeah, I'm trying to lose 15-20 pounds ^^
