Wow guys thanks so much!! I'm definitely going to check out the New Rules, it sounds like a pretty popular suggestion. I appreciate all of the help

Okay thank you so much!!!

1. No binging 2. Survive my triggers (going home is a big one) 3. Lose 5 more lbs. 4. Get more lean 5. Exercise 5 days a week 6. Forgive myself if I make mistakes

Thank you all so much!!! What a wonderful support community!! You guys are right, it takes time to learn a habit and it takes time to break it. I think my biggest issue in this moment is forgiving myself and not allowing this binge to continue through the WHOLE weekend! I'm going to definitely be more conscious about if I…

So...weekend was already a bust. They thought they would be nice and take me to my fav restaurant (which I haven't eaten at since I started trying to lose weight cause they have basically nothing healthy) and after eating there I totally went home and binged!! That in addition to I haven't been able to workout because of…

Thanks guys! I plan on pre portioning things like snacks so I won't be tempted by food at home like oreos and cupcakes haha. Also let my family know my worries and they said they were gonna try and make happier meals, at least for the weekend!

Thank you so much to everyone who has responded!!! I'm feeling a little better, especially after hearing about some of your successes (and that I'm not the only nervous one). I did up my cals this week by about 100 from my weight loss goal, and plan to slowly add them on until I am comfortable. Scary process, but I'm so…

No. Before I started to lose weight, when people brought up weight to me it only made me feel worse, which made me eat more (cause that was my way of coping). I knew, and she probably knows, that there is an issue. However, the only way for weight loss to be successful is if SHE is motivated enough to start and follow…

Thank you so much everyone!!! You guys have really put me at ease and more confident about my switch!! Best of luck to all of you as well :D happy eating!
-
Thank you so much everyone!! Yeah I think I would feel a lot better basing my progress on the way clothes fit rather than what the scale says. Now I just have to find some weight training stuff for beginners and motivate myself to do it (weight rooms scare me...well mostly the ridiculously buff college guys...). Thanks…

Thank you so much to everyone who responded. All of the advice you gave was great and I really appreciate it! It's nice to know that people out there actually care! I'm definitely going to take your advice, try and increase cals to what they should be and if I can't bring myself to, I know I need to make an appointment to…

If you have a fridge greek yogurt!!! I like Dannon Greek Light & Fit, but that's just my personal fav. 0 fat, nice amounts of protein!
-
Ah you guys got me so hyped! Class is tomorrow and I'm on the edge of my seat, I honestly can't wait
-
Ah thank you so much everyone!!! I'm so excited to try it out!! Can't wait for my legs to shake :) haha

It is important to let your body rest. But I am the exact same way as you. If I don't exercise every day I begin to panic. For my "rest days" I usually do lighter exercises instead of my normal routine. For example, I'm a big runner so instead of going on a run for one day I'll take a nice, long, leisurely walk. That's…

Most college cafeterias have healthy options like salad bars and fruit/yogurt bars. I know in some of the cafeterias at my school they had "healthy options" sections! You just have to be careful what you're eating and understand what you're putting in your body. It's okay to have mac n' cheese every once in a while, but…

Okay! So I went and bought a food scale after this whole thread and made one of my most common meals. What I was most off on was the amount of fruit (I tend to STUFF the measuring cup full of raspberries cause I can't get enough of them) but I was slightly off on other elements as well. SO, I intend to make food weighing a…

Going to buy a food scale right now

awesome info

No she said to make sure I'm actually eating what I think I am. Just gave me positive support too. I agree with you all that I'm probably eating more than I think. Just needed some nice words as well. Nothing against the rest of you
-
Thank you! That was one of the most encouraging and not angry sounding responses I've gotten hah. I'm doing my best with the limited "measuring abilities" that I have. Once I'm back at school and have access to a gym I will for sure do weights more.
-
I measure everything out but I don't own a scale. I understand that I could be eating more but that's why I try and stay around 100 less than I should and then NEVER eat back my exercise calories.

My pants were tight before, and they do feel slightly better but I guess I was just expecting to be down a whole size...not a partial size. High expectations get me again :/ and I do some weight training but honestly not much. To be honest, I'm kind of lost in that whole area of exercise (sad but true) so I guess more of…

Okay I'm 5'4 and 126 lb currently but I'm a size 8 in jeans. What the heck?! Thunder thighs haha. Tips on trimming down these bad boys??

I've got a similar problem. What I do is since I know I'm always hungry at night anyways, I eat really filling lunches and dinners but make sure to leave 400-500 cal for my night time snacking. Just really monitor what types of foods you eat during the day, and then you can eat a lot more at night. Going for foods like…

Thank you so much for the great advice everyone! And yeah I'm better at home I think because at school I used to have a meal plan so I was stuck with caf. food and they had lots of mac n' cheese and burgers haha. I know I could have picked better things but...I was weak haha. I don't have a meal plan this year so I'm going…
