Lost close to 15lb, still same jean size??

Okay so at the beginning of the summer I was around 140lb, and now I'm about 125-126. Great accomplishment for me!!! Buuuuut, I still wear the same size jeans (US size 8) as I did at the beginning of the summer. WHY?!?! How do I trim down these thunder thighs??

Are you sure you were fitting your previous size or was it a little snug? Also, people lose weight differently. You may have lost more from say, your tummy than your boobs or thighs. As the sizes get smaller there are about ten pounds between a size, so at 15 pounds, its likely they might have been a bit too small before.

Have you incorporated weight or resistance training into your workout routine?

My pants were tight before, and they do feel slightly better but I guess I was just expecting to be down a whole size...not a partial size. High expectations get me again :/ and I do some weight training but honestly not much. To be honest, I'm kind of lost in that whole area of exercise (sad but true) so I guess more of my exercise is cardio. Though in a few weeks when I'm back at school I'll have access to a fantastic gym, so I could do more lifting stuff...would that be better than cardio?
  • As the other members stated above... everyone loses weight differently. Everyone has a different body type as well. Some of us hold more weight in our hips/thighs, while others in their stomachs, or upper arms etc. Those "problem areas" are often stubborn and the last places you may lose fat. However, it is absolutely possible! Don't get discouraged. You have been doing great so far!

Also, you asked how to trim your "thunder thighs" haha I"m guessing you do not have thunder thighs (We are all our harshest critic), but keep eating healthy, nutrient rich foods, and exercise. Best of luck!

i agree with what one mentioned earlier ....every one loses weight differently ... for me ive been on a weightloss kick for about 4 months and I started in size 16 with them being a little snug but the 18s being too big ....im just now in size 13/14s...ive lost 20lbs in the 4 months but i have also lost 50 inches total in measurements... i seem to lose inches easier than i do the weight and i eat pretty clean with a cheat meal every now and then

keep up the good work document your calorie intake and be patient!! even tho at times that is just extremely hard to do :)
    best of luck
also you might try doing lunges and squats ... i am made to do lunges in my workouts all the time and i HATE them but I have noticed that I keep losing little by little in my thigh area and generally all over so what ever it is im doing must be working for me
    :)

Are you taking measurements? inches are a lot more accurate than clothes :)

I've lost about 14lb and I'm still in the same size, but I've lost over an inch in my waist and hips(each)
