Just out of curiosity...

So I'm usually pretty active, going to the gym at least 4-5 days a week and stuff like that. however, the past few weeks have been ridiculously busy with school and work and other life problems (was basically out for a week and a half due to being in and out of the hospital). I changed my settings to sedentary (usually I have it at lightly active) and have been eating at or below those suggested calories in order to try and off set the lack of exercise.

Will this drastic change in amount of exercise (5 days to like 3 days a week) cause me to see an increase in weight, or no because I've tried to keep my calories low?

Sorry if that's a stupid question, I'm just curious/worried. (Plus I don't own a scale and usually only get to weigh myself at the gym, so I haven't been able to see if there has been an effect or not).

I think if you've adjusted your calories to compensate for it should be ok

sometimes when you cut back on exercise you can lose a few lbs, thats likely to be muscles letting go of water? as long as you eat at deficit you won't gain weight. Eat the allowance of calories that MFP has you set at.

I would say cutting back from 5 days to 3 days of exercise isn't drastic, stopping it altogether would be.
