If a pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat - why do people always say "Muscle weighs more than fat!!!" ??? Just curious....

Your body needs to have atleast 1200 net calories a day or your body will go into starvation mode and your weight loss will come to a stand still. You even might gain!!! So atleast try to get to 1200 calories if you have to force yourself to do it!!!

I think it also has something to do with the "net calories" If you eat 1200 calories, and you burn 300 - your body's net calories for the day are only 900!!! Honestly, I think it literally means RAW - not sure why it's in there, cause like you said, no one is actually going to eat raw chicken, but I really think that's what it's supposed to mean. I know I am not a whole lot of help, SORRY!!!! :ohwell:

My friend just started dieting and found out she was pregnant a few weeks ago. She asked her doctor if she could continue, and he told her - No dieting, but the exercise was ok. (mild exercising!) So I would think you would still be able to use this site, just ask your doctor what a pregnant woman's caloric intake should…

You could always go by what the gazelle says on it and "enter an exercise not listed" and then enter your own calories burned.

This is a good idea - I really need to do this. Another thing I have started doing is taking my measurements - they haven't changed drastically either - but when the scale isnt moving, its nice to see the measurements change a little. :wink:

I have totally been slacking on my Thanksgiving challenge this weekend. It so hard for me to eat right and exercise on the weekends, we always have stuff going on. But it's Monday, and I have no more excuses. I will be walking/jogging on the treadmill for 30 minutes tonight, I promise!

DAY 7 for me, I didn't look all weekend! It's getting tough though, I am starting to worry that without the constant reminder of how fat I am I will start slacking more. SO, I am hanging in there.... for now!

Well haven't done anything YET - have a "workout date" in an hour, finally someone to go with me and keep me motivated! I plan on walking/jogging on the treadmill for 30 minutes

DAY 3 for me - have not looked! I finally had to put the scale away so I wouldn't be so tempted. I am feeling good about this challenge though, and I hope to be pleasantly surprised when I step back on there BEFORE Thanksgiving dinner!

If I am understanding right, this is what I think you should do. When you enter the food into the database enter it as 1 serving, and then where it asks # of servings- put 12. And the number of calories you would enter would be per serving, so you put in 72, not 870. And when you have a bowl, just put that you had 1…
