  • As close to the ground or branch--the fewer hands that touch the better.
  • Wow, there are super great ideas from each of you! thank you! I will be trying quite a few of these. I have been packing my meals but you are all right, it does get boring and that is maybe why I look for things to eat. Thank you! I do appreciate it very much that you took the time to give suggestions and ideas!
  • I am borderline too, I added a fish oil supplement and cutting down on meat in general. I love vegetables so I have no problem with a diet change. More exercise will also help reduce cholesterol, so just know it does not all have to come from foods. Good Luck!
  • I usually just take some beans (black, red, pinto, kidney or black eyed) and soak overnight to soften. Drain and rinse, then add fresh water to boiling them in. When boiling down I add onion, garlic powder, Luzianne or Tony Chachere's seasoning, a jalapeno pepper, turkey bacon pieces and a dash of salt and pepper.
  • Thank you! Some sound yummy!
  • I just read earlier today that the better the quality the less likely the fish burps. You can freeze them and take them at night. Freezing acts like a time release. I am taking them for my cholesterol. I have the GNC brand and they seem to be fine, no fish burps.
  • If there is anyone in the area that wants to get together and go for bike rides, please let me know.
  • I have found a few trails in the area that I will be going to. Milton will probably be the most frequented one.
  • I've been following WW for over a year and lost 17 lbs. Once they switched to the new Points Plus, at first I lost but had trouble using all the points, rarely touching a weekly point unless I went out to dinner and indulged. I am discouraged with the new program and cosidering tracking my points just on my own as the old…
  • I haven't gotten one yet, still considering it. I love to get outdoors whenever I can and I know of a few trails here, just wondering if anyone knows of more.
  • I have only tried Salmon once and it was fishy tasting. Too strong for me. I would love to find a great way to cook salmon and be able to eat it. Some of these methods/recipes sound wonderful.
  • I have been on Levothyroxine (generic for Synthroid) for 20 yrs. I seem to do ok on it. I am not nearly as exhausted as I was in earlier years. I did Weight Watchers last year and have lost 17 lbs. I am still following it although the new plan has thrown me off. I believe exercise is the key to feeling our best with this…
  • I have an underactive thyroid too. I was diagnosed 20 yrs ago and it has been a continuous struggle. You just need to find what works for your body. Less carbs and more protein work for me. Also, make sure you are getting enough calories each day. Since your metabolism is slower than the normal person now you need to make…
  • Day of Fire, Pillar and Skillet are some of my favorite Christian bands.
  • I am in the exact same boat except I have no kids only dogs to spend time with. I have a treadmill and the 30-day Shred. I try to alternate. I love to get up early and get on the treadmill, it really gets my day going and alternating days I put in the 30-day Shred although it makes me very sore and I then don't do it for a…
  • I love the cranbran muffintops! At my local grocery store (Publix), they are $4.69 regularly. Sometimes they do go on sale for buy 1 get one free, I load up!
  • On WW I lost a total of 17 lbs in 1 year. I was not exercising as much as I should have been but do try to get a couple hours of exercise per week. The new WW program I am finding difficult with the new pointsplus program. I am 4 lbs from my goal weight at this time. Then, it is just a matter of working hard to stay at…
  • Only day 2 and the support is tremendous! And wow, the food tracking is really an eye opener! I have being doing WW for a year and never realized they patterns of eating, I tend to eat a lot of carbs...moreso than I need in 1 day.
  • My husband will be deploying again shortly, and I am getting nervous with the whole re-adjustment to being alone. Although it should be a great opportunity with plenty of time to get into a good workout routine and start running to pass the time.
  • Oh gosh, you are all so wonderful! Thank you so much! I am feeling better already! I am just about to my goal weight and then want to maintain. I would like to get more active and have fun. I am thinking of buying a bike so I can take advantage of some of the trails in Milton FL and where ever else I can find. I am trying…
