Cholesterol and Fiber Intake

I have borderline high cholesterol (don't take medication yet) but my doctor told me to eat more fibre, less meat products and come back in a few months...I am just wondering if it is bad to eat too much fibre because I am going over almost every day on this category (but my cholesterol is always below my limit)...I just don't want to screw up anything else by eating too much fibre. Thanks

I was always told that fiber is great for getting rid of cholesterol. Sometimes when you eat too much fiber your tummy might be alittle crampy at first. Not eating much beef will really help. Keep up the good work.0

I am borderline too, I added a fish oil supplement and cutting down on meat in general. I love vegetables so I have no problem with a diet change. More exercise will also help reduce cholesterol, so just know it does not all have to come from foods. Good Luck!0
