  • I know you don't want to hear this :) decaf TEA with equal... that's what I do...or at least try to. in desperation, I eat a fiber one chocolate pop tart (must be the fiber one brand)
  • They used a machine to measure after entering my stats (age, weight etc) I am glad I am within healthy range, I never imagine I would dip below the 15.4, this is unusual for me....but shows I have been working :)

  • Do you run on the treadmill or outside? I think 13 minutes is just fine for starting out. Don't try to beat your time, just try to go farther than a mile next time...I think going a little farther at a slower pace is good... quit smoking and you will be able to endure more! :)
  • I say just do it. Get one race under your belt and then you'll know what to expect for all the others you will do. Have fun!!!
  • All I can say is that my body rebeled a bit when I cut my calories....so maybe this is your body getting used to the changes you have made. it could be the sweating, but I would hold off on acne meds and see what happens over the next few weeks...don't aggrevate the problem with harsh chemicals...   • With each of my kids it took me at least 1 year to get back to my pre-preg weight. Although after each one I tried on my jeans within months of having the baby because I thought I would fit!HA! they didn't for a long time...
  • I totally agree with the previous poster, walking or any pool exercise is great!! Maybe get some small weights at home and do arm curls, start really small and work up as you lose weight and build muscle. You know, even a stationary bicycle at an even pace would be a good thing to start with. Good for you and good luck!!

  • ok do you mean an exercise ball that you can sit on? or a medicine ball to do crunches with? I sit on my exercise ball anytime I am sitting...at the computer, dinner, etc....helps posture... also do crunches on it (with medicine ball) push ups, etc....
  • don't try to compensate, that will just add more stress. Just stay within your calories tomorrow...a new day :) At least that's what I would do! Don't be too hard on yourself.

  • Oh my gosh! Great! I ran my first 5k last fall and I was so nervous my legs were shaking, but then the crowds were cheering along the route and it was so fun! Have a great time with it, and be proud that you can achieve such great times.
