Deluxe Cheeseburger Salad
4 sesame seed bun tops
1 small red onion
2 plum tomatos
3/4 lb lean ground meat (I used 95% lean turkey)
1/2 finely chopped dill pickles
3/4 ketchup
1 tbsp yellow mustard
thinly sliced romaine lettuce -about 8 cups ( I think I used more)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
slice bun tops into strips, bake on cookie sheet at 425 degrees for 10 minutes to toast them. take out to cool.
Slice half of onion into circles, chop tomatos into bite size pcs, set aside
cook meat and break until small. Chop other half of onion
Mix diced pickles, chopped onion, mustard, ketchup in big bowl, add the cooked meat, mix.
To serve, put meat mixture over lettuce, sprinkle tomatos, cheese, sliced onion and toasted bun slices on top
makes 6 servings
