I've found a good 5k that I could run. I timed myself for a mile (with a stroller) and did well. I jog for 45-60 minutes, usually with a stroller.

Ready for what? To do a organized run? If you can run for 45-60 minutes, I'd say you're ready for a 5k.

I say just do it. Get one race under your belt and then you'll know what to expect for all the others you will do. Have fun!!!0
