Anything 100% whole grain and I try to stay away from preservatives.

When I had an office job, I'd keep a bag of raw almonds in my desk. It really worked to keep me from starving but not so delicious that I'd eat too much.

Pretty similar to you but started lifting last summer and follow strong lifts which doesn't really allow for much cardio. I'm happy with it, I think I'm looking better and even have abs that are starting to show which I though was impossible for me. I haven't lost weight though, but that's not my goal anymore. Maybe you…

I like it! I haven't noticed any health benefits but I stopped drinking alcohol a year ago and kombucha is a nice replacement. I actually prefer the kefir drinks like Kevita but they're very similar.

Baba ganoush. Roast w olive oil, s & p. Then puree with garlic, more olive oil, s&p, and tahini. I eat it straight up or as a veggie dip. Yum!

Chinups didn't take too long, I would practice at the park with my kids, a couple months. Pullups have been much harder. I use a band to assit. I found a cheap used pullup bar that I have in a central location in my house and I just try to do as many as I can on lifting days.

Yes - I agree - it's likely a placebo affect. That lucky fish is super cool, never heard of it before. In the past, I've tried to use my cast iron pan a lot to increase my iron - same idea.

Sounds like you're making healthy choices for you and baby. Keep in mind that weight gain during pregnancy can be inconsistent. So maybe you're gaining faster now, not so much later. Just be healthy. I gained over 50lbs with each of my kids. They were healthy, I was healthy, and the extra weight came off. So relax & take…

Apple, carrot, ginger. Grapes, all by themselves.

Ok thanks for the feedback. I plan to talk with my doc this week but I swear I'm starting to feel better already after starting the vitamins yesterday (I doubled up). In regards to the calcium in the prenatals, it's pretty low like 15%.

I also have 2 big rain barrels, I water by hand, and mulch (with straw) - I think this all helps conserve water. I didn't notice any drastic increase with our water bill over last year's very dry summer. My garden is pretty small, though.

I'm in CA and just got a kefir lime, orange, grapefruit, and lemon tree to put it. Also have some greens and snap peas going. I usually stick with the easy: squash, tomatoes, beans, radishes, chard... and lots of herbs.

That's a good deal so I'd say do it. I've watched a lot online and have met with a trainer once but I know I could use a lot more help with form.

I used to get this on my legs, back, and sides when running in cold climates: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_urticaria There is also a sweat induced urticaria. Maybe one of these? I'd see a doc since it's affecting your enjoyment of working out. Eta - read your post and saw you're in Denver. I'd guess it's the cold…

I think it's having small kids. I have 2 in preschool and we've always got something. It sucks. I eat pretty healthy and am very active, it's just that time of year. Rest & water and exercise when you're up for it. That's all we can do.

Lately, SL 2x a week and roller derby practice 2 hrs 2x a week.

This thread always inspires me. Yay for strong, sexy ladies: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1120789/females-only-lifting-weight-training-results/p1 You may put on some weight in the beginning but it's WORTH IT!

There's a Greek lemon egg soup, fried rice, egg foo young, pasta carbonara, Spanish tortilla...

Yeah, I've been surprised how much protein is in pizza. Mmmm pizza.

Coffee, eggs, yogurt. Here in CA, they have organic hardboiled eggs. They're actually cheaper than raw organic eggs. I feel guilty about the extra packaging but they're nice to have around.

I had it and found it to be somewhat accurate. Test in the am after going to the bathroom & before eating/drinking anything. I'm not too concerned about my bf so I gave it away...

I'm getting winded just reading this thread. I run MUCH slower at altitude, not sure how much exactly. If you really want to do it, I'd suggest cross-training with one of those new popular altitude masks.

That's great for you. How's the person you did the CPR on?

Love this idea! Going to try this week. Also, a friend makes a really delicious alfredo spaghetti squash but not sure how healthy it is.

I was going to say yoga as well and sports (or deep tissue) massage. Big believer in both of these things. ETA - also those Rogue mobilty bands. Some really great stretches with those.

Strong first post! Nice work!

When I've used them in the soup I posted, I used the whole leek. I blend it in a Vitamix so the texture is fine.

This can be made with leaks, and I blend in a block of tofu for protein... http://www.marthastewart.com/353233/spring-onion-soup

Try these sites for discount gear: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/ http://www.rei.com/outlet Also try your local thrift store. Rain pants can work but I prefer fleece-lined leggings. I'm also in norcal and just went on a hike in this very rainy weather. Wore fleece-ined (running) leggings, 2 pairs of socks, a couple thin…
