. I can and have ran fasted up to ~8 miles. Anything longer than that, I'll aim to have a bagel with peanut butter and a banana or toast with PB and a banana. I'm hit or miss on whether I take a fuel at mile 5 for a long run of 9 or more. Exactly on the "remembering how to put on pants". Sometimes the fuels are for…

I'm generally not into anecdotal evidence, BUT, I just had my cholesterol checked for our health insurance incentive. I was a bit concerned considering I eat eggs almost daily. Well, my numbers were perfect. Triglycerides were actually below 45 and the machine couldn't give a number. Bad cholesterol was in range and good…

Scientific research, please.

Yup. It's tasty and calorie free. I don't buy into the "OMG IT IS SO BAD FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'RE GONNA DIE!!" mentality.

Did you hear my scathing comment read on air? "Your guest is full of nonsense. Everyone I know that has been successful with weight loss has counted calories. I've lost 170 pounds and I've kept it off through....you've guessed it, calories in vs. calories out. I gained some of the weight back when I got lax with calorie…

You can do it! I've been on both sides of the aisle and I can guarantee you that no one is paying attention to you (with the exception of the instructor). I'm so focused on not dying during a fitness class.

I set my bike up on the trainer yesterday (was storming) and rode for 30 minutes So, I took a hard look at 1. where I'm at. 2. where I'd like to be at and 3. if there were any other rides further out. There is actually several later this summer that I think would be a better target than 8 weeks. This will also be perfect…

I wanted to see how a few miles felt on drained legs after yesterday's half marathon. The first mile was rough as I worked through some tightness and stiffness, but felt great after that. April 7 - 3.3 miles 27.8 miles for the month Miles until goal #1 (100 miles) = 72.2 miles Miles until goal #2 (110 miles) = 82.2 miles
-
April 5 - 3.1 miles April 6 - 13.1 miles =16.2 miles Miles until goal #1 = 75.5 miles Miles until goal #2 = 85.5 miles
-
April 3 - 3.3 miles. Did some speed work and felt really good. Miles until Goal #1 - 91.7 miles Miles until Goal #2 - 101.7 miles

My last blood donation had me at 104/66. I took it the other day at Walmart and I was 100/60. RHR is low 50's. I actually get dizzy at times with it being low. But, not much I can do. I run 4-5 days a week and strength train a few days a week as well.

Chaos. Pandemonium.

Why? If YOU are doing the cooking, YOU get to decide what is made. My kids have a choice at dinner. Take it or leave it. Granted, I don't go super wild with cooking, but they are expected to eat what I make. Same for the husband. He's perfectly capable of making something else if what I make doesn't appeal to him.

Ha.....I lost 170 pounds and ate everything I wanted. Granted, I moved a lot more, tracked what I ate, and didn't go overboard on splurges. Sacrificing leads to failure. When I started this journey I told myself that I'd never be successful if I cut out everything I enjoyed. And well, I've kept most of it off for 6 years…

Trek road bike. Just been focused on everything else fitness-wise. It's not like I'm coming from zero fitness to century ride in 8 weeks. I am currently running 20-25 miles (half indoors/half outdoors) right now, fitness classes a few days a week, and strength training 1-2 days a week. I may just see where the next 6 weeks…

I do have a road bike that I love - Just need to get back on it. Been running a lot lately (20 - 25 miles a week).

This. As a Wisconsinite, you can pry the cheese from my cold, dead hands. My hometown even has a festival dedicated to cheese. Cheese Days in Monroe! Everything in moderation. Including cheese.

I actually don't mind plant based burgers. Most are pretty tasty. My only issue is that it's hard to find ones that aren't soy based. I'm sensitive to soy and try to limit it, so I have to read the labels if I'm going with a veggie patty.

Aside from on the rocks, how else am I expected to drink whiskey?

April 1 - 5 miles Miles until Goal # 1 - 95 miles Miles until Goal #2 - 105 miles

Thanks everyone. I know it's mostly water weight and yes, we did a ton of walking and yes, I did run a few times on the beach. But, still just a little sad. But, it will come off and all will be right with the world. Hubby on the other hand...maintained his weight on vacation. Love him, but SERIOUSLY?!
-
Well, I'm allowed to be disappointed. So, there's that.

Seeing my children running, playing, and enjoying the beach was all worth it. Quote of the whole trip from my daughter "It's more beautiful than I expected!" The free happy hour and all the good food wasn't too bad either.

Well, my original goal in March was 80 miles and I ended the month with 101 miles. I'd like to be in for 100 miles again as goal #1 with a stretch goal of 110 miles for goal #2. We shall see!
-
March 31 - 5 miles back at home in Wisconsin Total miles for the month = 101.42 - Goal #2 was 100 miles, so I'm happy with that.
-
Well, I live in a city where it's more acceptable to ride your tractor or ATV around town than a bicycle. When riding on my own, I ride in the street. But if I'm with the kids, we are on the sidewalk with a parent in front and a parent in back.
-
March 29 - 5 miles 91.42 + 5 = 96.42 miles Goal #2 for March = 100 miles Miles left until Goal #2 = 3.58 miles
-
March 28 - 3.2 miles 88.22 + 3.2 = 91.42 miles for the month Goal #2 = 100 miles Miles left until goal #2 = 8.58 miles
-
I'm in Daytona Beach! March 25 - 5 miles on the beach 5 + 83.22 = 88.22 miles for the month Goal #2 = 100 miles Mile left until Goal #2 = 11.78 miles
