  • @crystaldford sounds like a great plan. This year has thrown a all for a loop.
  • Update: Our first week went really, and the intentional eating habit is shaping and pruning other habits. @OneWildAndPreciousLife and I continue to remark how delicious our meals are and how much pleasure we derive from then. The desire to make room in my day for more yummy food has led me to give up my sweet milky coffee…
  • So I am learning the importance of lean protein as I watch the fat percentage increase and the protein percentage decrease. Also now following a high-protein eating plan on MFP premium. She’d four pounds last week and fill full throughout the day and not over full at night—no TUMS needed or feeling gross at bedtime, so I…
  • Sounds great! That should have been “donated” not “deboned.” Figured out how to eat more protein next week, but now the puzzle will be upping protein without increasing fat. Beans maybe? Under today. For now concentrating on healthy eating right now.
  • Deboned two quarts of ice cream we made for the holiday. Ate 1/2 cup servings four days straight and that was enough. Really enjoying eating whole food. Good day.
  • NSV instead of watching the scale creep up as if it were out of my control, I am back on MFP and logging and making a game plan to address the weight. NSV Giving away 2 quarts of ice cream we made on the Fourth of July. It was mocha flavored; it was delicious. I ate a 1/2 cup serving every day for the last four days. I fit…
  • @kmiller2350 That is fantastic! I aspire to do that. 5 days.
  • @KevinWH87 Cool, thanks for the tip!
  • @Shanel0916 Sounds like a plan! That’s around what I’ve gained. We got into the quarantine baking and ordering in and not a lot of activity. We lost weight easily before doing Paleo, so we are loosely following that.
  • @lemongirlbc @AnnPT77 @sgt1372 @cmriverside @kshama2001 @cupcakesandproteinshakes Thanks so much for your helpful insights and ideas and questions. I’m the one with the Mohawk in my profile picture. I am 53; female, 5’10”, 362lbs. My daily goal is 1930 to lose 2 pounds a week. I’ve lost significant weight 2-3 times before,…
  • @cupcakesandproteinshakes I think most of us eat basically the same things all the time anyway. Like fast food is burgers and fries, fried chicken, tacos and such. I think I can take a theme and variation approach with variety coming from fruits, veggies, spices, etc. and the theme being chicken, eggs, beans, whatever.
  • @Talan79 Thanks tor these suggestions.
  • @cmriverside Thanks for the response and the link. Going to have to sit down and ponder this. Would love to see your diary.
  • @Mickey021969 You don’t have to fight it alone. And try to be kind to yourself.
  • @nebslp. Being more intentional about when an how often And for what purpose I pick up the iPad would be a candidate for another habit build. Already hanging out on MFP feels way more satisfying than scrolling through FB. Sometimes beading keeps my hands and mind occupied.
  • Every moment’s a new moment, a chance to start again. Try to savor the journey instead of focusing so much on the destination.
  • Hi, I am starting this journey anew. Guess this is day 2. A previous time, building community here was a big help.
  • You are worth the wait!
  • So far so good. Under today and about to watch a movie with accounted for buttered popcorn.
  • Hi everyone. I’m new here. What a great structure for a group! Thank you! This July I will eat more mindfully. When I am eating, I will sit at the dining room or patio table. When Ian watching TV, I will watch TV r do some other activity except for eating. Exceptions: weekly popcorn with a movie or show if it fits in my…
  • Thanks for starting this check-in. 2020 has been one rough year and as always food is about the easiest route to comfort, so the scale has been creeping up. So far my health is pretty good, but I know all the weight I’m carrying isn’t good. So I’ve joined MFP again and trying to remember the things My wife and I did the…
  • So sorry I’m five years late here, but I would love if this group were active.
  • Hi! I've been away from the group for awhile. One factor is that the motherboard in my computer crashed and I am waiting for repairs. The other thing is that after quitting my dead-end job, which was a momentary relief, I have been fighting the blues with food and no exercise. I think I am done fighting the blues with food…

  • Last Week's Goals: Exercise five days this week. Alternating Leslie Sansone walks with Ripped in 30. I exercised exactly two days this week: Mon and Tue and then gave into the gloomy gusses. Stay under calorie goal every day this week. I was under 5 out of 7 days. Only eat home cooking. At work on Friday a vendor brought…

  • I've actually manage to lose a few pounds the holidays not withstanding, and I'm expecting good news from the scale this Sunday as I have returned my calories to a deficit of 500 and, according to MFP, have burned 3050 calories doing Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 everyday this week. I'll probably do a Leslie walk tomorrow.
  • Finished my first week of RI30, doing it everyday this week. I'm probably going to end up doing more like RI60 or 90 as I'm not in any particular hurry and would like to stay with a week until I really start to master the various moves. I can see a lot of improvement from Day 1 and Day 5, I also think I'll have a better…
