St.VdeP's has been reaping the benefit of my fat loss! :)

You look incredible!!! Are you lifting weights? Because you look like you've lost a LOT more than 30!!

What the others said about eating close to bed. There's nothing wrong with when you eat...just the calorie numbers. I suggest fresh fruit. I snack on watermelon, grapes, pluots, apples, you name it...whatever's on sale, every night. You can eat a lot and you can still stay within your calorie goal.

Find one good reason and remind yourself of it each time you are tempted to buy a pack or bum one from a friend.

This looks cool. Have to freeze it solid though for the trek: Frozen Banana Cream Pie Ingredients 2 cups chocolate wafer cookie crumbs 5 ripe bananas 1 tablespoon vanilla extract or dark rum 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice 2 to 3 tablespoons sugar 1 pint vanilla frozen yogurt or low-fat ice cream, slightly softened 1/2 cup…

Yes. I learned it on a "farm" field trip. And the butter aint lasting that long!

Welcome! I started out on fitday, too. You'll find the food database a lot more user friendly. I was having to input individual ingredients for a food item...seriously irritating. Plus, there is way more activity here. That other place is d.e.a.d.

About five pounds. But I'm liking what I see in the mirror...and the clothes! :D I think I'm keeping it here for now but I want to wait and see if it is droopy flesh (that hopefully will snap back into place) or residual body fat I'm dealing with on my belly.

I think every veg deserves to be roasted. Recently I tossed broccoli florets and whole cloves of garlic in olive oil, little s & p and roasted it til it made my toes curl. :D Garlic is considered a vegetable in my house, so we use a head (or sometimes two) with a bunch of broccoli. Little tip: When dealing with roasting…

^^ This. I exclusively BF my kids. Extended BF-ing too. I never did lose until we stopped. Don't let that be incentive for you to stop because this is absolutely irreplaceable time and nutrition for your baby. You will never have a do-over. :) A little extra padding is well worth it, there's plenty of time to lose weight.

Thanks for all your answers. I'm keeping an eye on this.

We got a big old bunch of kale in our CSA last week and I was at a loss. Maily because the kale was organic and had been attacked by flea beetles or something and looked kind of gross. Then I discovered: Kale and Walnut Pesto! The amount of kale I had made 3 cups of pesto and I froze them in 1 cup batches. I used the first…

I got nothing to add but: You know what's great with eggs? AVOCADOS!

This is my fav and not just because they call the seeds "squash poop". :) http://low-cholesterol.food.com/recipe/properly-prepared-spaghetti-squash-162765 Ingredients 1 spaghetti squash 1 head garlic salt pepper olive oil Directions Preheat oven to 350-375. Halve raw spaghetti squash with a sturdy sharp knife, scoop out,…

I snack every night. Sometimes a tub of 80 greek yogurt or fruit or a spoon of peanut butter or a serving of walnuts (make sure it is measured, not sit in front of the tv with a 3lb can of cashews). I always make sure I have some calories left in my day to work this stuff in. Someone told me (on this site) that the…

Nice. I planted cukes in my "patio farm" this year. This should come in handy, thanks!

I did a burpee once. I hope to one day do another. Does it matter that I"m in my 40s? May I be excused for not managing more than one? I really have to try for two.

Nope. I don't care either. On the subject of thongs...I spend half my waking hours trying to keep my underwear out of there. I don't want underwear to ride all up IN there!

Why haven't they given you Fleet? I was given it prior to a colonoscopy and it is really powerful stuff. Definitely go to the ER. There is no reason to continue suffering like this with no answers. I hope you are well soon.

Nobody looks good in a speedo. Creepy maybe...good, no.

You can pastuerize them in the shell and keep them "raw". http://paleohacks.com/questions/98292/easy-way-to-pasteurize-eggs-or-egg-free-mayo-recipe#axzz2TsqvwZmd I've used the "in hot water at 140F for three minutes" method and have made a lot of mayonnaise with it....oh my mayonnaise  But the germ-nasties don't…

Because I'm tired of being fat. I gained weight over three pregnancies and have never lost the last big chunk of weight. I started on this "fit path" about four years ago when I joined a gym for the first time in almost 20 years. I work out hard (or so I think) but I didn't really modify my diet, other than eating…

I'm eating some walnuts. :D Thanks!
-
I should add that's on the net calories...still trying to get the hang of this eating back the calories thing.

I've considered getting one too. I'm just too cheap. I do make zucchini "pasta" by using a veggie peeler and scrape, turn, scrape, turn, scrape, turn... Come to think of it, that is pretty tedious. Maybe I will get one for my birthday. :D

I make a quinoa salad that is essentially Tabouli (or Tabbouleh or however you spell it) with quinoa instead of the bulgur wheat. Ingredients 1 cup water 1 cup fine cracked wheat (OR quinoa) 1 cup minced fresh parsley leaves 1/2 cup minced fresh mint leaves 1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onion 3 tomatoes, diced 2 cucumbers,…

I have to share with you. I'm in my mid 40's and a couple months ago I was in a great deal of pain in my knees and sometimes hip. Standing up from a chair was a problem at times. I hobbled up the stairs when I put my kids to bed. Ouch. Anyway. I started taking three supplements that were recommended to me at my local…

I am a Paleo wannabe. I dabble in it. My FAVORITE recipe (which I made tonight!): Pork Carnitas http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2011/04/29/stovetop-pork-carnitas/ I have streamlined the recipe to mesh better with working mom/easier cleanup and less fat. Use boneless pork loin and trim all silverskin and as much fat as…

Tomorrow is your opportunity to start again. Be strong. I also agree that counseling would be a good thing to help you make good choices.
