I think you need to tell her how sore you were. It would be worse if you injured yourself by pushing too hard. I work with a PT also and each time we start a new routine he makes sure to ask me how I felt after our workouts for that reason. He doesn't want me to injure myself by pushing too hard.

Go to Amazon.com. You can find lots there. I have a Polar HR monitor with a chest strap and it is worth every penny I spent on it. It was alittle over $100 but as I said it is worth every penny.

I have a Polar HRM and I love it. Seems to be acurate. It has the chest strap and I haven't had any issues with it being uncomfortable or getting sweaty. I am working with a personal trainer to lose weight and he told me that you should have one day a week where you can cheat alittle otherwise it is really difficult to stick with your diets. You are most likely to fall off the wagon if you have to be perfect all day every day. Hope this eases your mind alittle.
