  • I’m finding this, too. I’ll accidentally eat around 60 grams carbs and still be in ketosis (I use Keto Mojo blood meter) I’m feeling so good. I’m glad you’re feeling good, too!
  • Almond flour; mozzarella sticks; antibiotic free bacon; frozen fruits; coconut oil; coffee; avocado oil; tomato diced/sauce; coconut milk full fat; cheddar cheese, Brie, chèvre, feta; hummus; wholly guacamole; albacore; raw honey; marinated wild salmon; fish sticks; wine; Jameson; Tito’s ...... • I raise grass fed beef!
  • A slow cooker is a lifesaver for me. I’ll put a big roast in on Sunday get 2 dinners for my family of 4 and an easy cold lunch for me out of it. My friend gets 3 slow cookers going on the weekends for the week’s meals - she has 4 kids and 2 parttime jobs. An Instant Pot might be the way to go now! Anything that can be…
  • Maybe you’re sick - like regular old caught a bug that has nothing to do with your diet ill?
  • My doctor, who is part of a bariatric surgical team, told me not to worry and that it’s part of starting keto WOE. She also said the medical community is reevaluating things with cholesterol right now.
  • I look at successful eater’s diaries and one thing I see often is they have a set of foods they repeat, like a repertoire. Maybe you could put together a day of food that fits your plan and eat just that for a couple of weeks to get rolling. It might be boring, but your life is more important than variety.
  • I hear Breckinridge and I think skiing. And Rasta Pasta. And skiing. And a warm whiskey. And skiing. And god I miss Colorado. It’s Heaven on Earth. It’s Home.
  • I have a drink every night, too, good Irish whiskey. It’s probably slowing things down, but I can only give up so much at once. Since I have a lifemate and 2 teens who can eat whatever they want, I’ve created a space for my foods. One shelf in the pantry and a drawer in the refrigerator. It helps keep me on track.
  • Since I raise the cows I know it’s all good and I do use the whole harvest. I make pate with some bacon, bacon fat, and bourbon added, then freeze it in ramekins. The tongue & heart, though .... I just can’t. Those go to an old man down the road. He loves them.
  • Not exactly the point of my post, of the OP’s. In case you’re WORRIED heart patients might be swayed by what random posters say on a website for fat people. I’m pretty sure they’d follow their cardiac specialist’s instructions.
  • I don’t know the website, but PSMF is a Lyle McDonald classic and pretty much the Cleveland Clinic diet for heart patients, too (I think). It is not meant to be a way of eating, it’s a booster. I did it for a month or so last year and have been thinking about doing it again to break a plateau. It works. 1200 calories is…
  • Got in 2 sets of 5 Burpees. I’d like to hit 100 total this week. 25/100 so far. I was swinging a garden hoe for an hour, too, so that was a good workout.
  • Recalculated macros thru Perfect Keto and pre-entered food for the day. Almost stuck to it - had one more shot of Tequila than planned!
  • Got in 3 x 5 Burpees for total of 15 today.
  • I was diagnosed a long time ago when I lived at a very high altitude in Colorado. Years later, I ended up in Iowa and my initial GP was a colleague of Dr. Wahls. I had already started a Paleo WOE. I am not, however, on the protocol. The Keto is from my Dr who focuses on using food and exercise instead of meds to heal. (If…
  • Hi. Thank you. I use the blood meter called Keto Mojo. It’s the brand name. I have MS. Sometimes exercise is not even possible, but eating right always is. I’m currently 40lbs overweight. I’ve lost 16 since mid-January. Started LOW carb & Keto in May. Flatlined on weightloss. I’m confused to say the least.
  • I’m in. I’ll do BURPEES!!!! (I hate burpees)
  • Try the apps “Happy Scale” or “Trend Weight” to help with the mind games fluctuations in weight loss play and may ease your frustrations.
  • Half the people on here use “woo” as a positive. Just thought you might like to know.
  • You can project your worries onto me if that makes you feel better, but I’m not the one using the word “every.”
  • I am sorry you are so anxious. I do hope your life gets better.
  • I guess I have a different level for labeling fear-mongering. If I’d said, “Oh my god you belched after eating! Start chemo now! You’re dying.” That would be fear mongering to me. This was just suggesting someone resquest an extra test to be on the safe side.
  • It’s troubling that you don’t want others to take the best care of themselves they can.
  • I’ve never seen House. I’m not going to stop encouraging people to be strong advocates for their health. Again I’m sorry for whatever is troubling you.
  • Just because you give smart a** comments doesn’t mean everyone does. I was sicerely asking because it is not one of those cancers that’s covered as much. Steve Jobs’ death brought some light on it, but it’s not like googling breast cancer. My mother died of it. That’s why I’m interested in it. Alerting someone to be an…
  • Are you an oncologist?
  • PLEASE please please Anyone who suffers from chronic GERD Please get your PANCREAS checked for cancer. It is a deadly cancer because it’s rarely noticed before it has spread to other organs. It most often presents as acid reflux first. Please. Insist on testing.
  • This is excellent advice. I hope everyone who is facing challenges with food costs sees it.
