  • There aren't many. Peanuts, almonds, berries.
  • I still log sporadically. I've been maintaining for a few years. I log if my activity changes, which it can throughout the year, until I get used to the change in hunger, calories and activity. Originally I got to a goal about 10 pounds lighter than my current weight and I give myself a 10 pound range, or rather 5 pounds…
  • I've been in maintenance for a while, I hope I get temperature regulated before this winter sets in, its strange seeing people in short shorts, sandles an me wearing socks and sweaters already. :D
  • lol! ok, now I can see it. :D
  • I love these. Cream, blueberry omelette done in butter. French do know their omelette!
  • I probably have no business dvizing in here but I knocked down my excersize way down for a week thinking I should also knock down calories to maintain, I didn't want to, but I lost weight. So I'm thinking it can be a while before my metabolism quits expecting me to get up every day and have the energy to walk 20,000 steps…
  • I can say my experience is exactly the same as yours. Ive been wearing a sweater in 69 - 70 degree weather for a week. :/ I don't get it.
  • Wow, so what did you eat to build up that amount of carbs emma! I cannot imagine it, not that I doubt you, just interested!
  • I'm also a fan of really old hard cheeses. Soft spreadables are disgusting to me though.
  • Good idea Emma. I think cream watered down would also do well in cooking and baking, better than full fat if its high sugars I guess.
  • I eat a lot of yogurt, full fat to nonfat. I have cream in things and use ff milk for making crepes.
  • I like porridge, corn meal, rice, crepes and fruit.
  • I keep carbs around 100 grams. I go on diet breaks once in a while where I eat rice or corn meal for a few days. My hundred grams of carbs comes from nuts dairy low carb fruit and low starch veg. I'm maintaining my weight for several years now around 135 pounds.
  • Same with hospitals, its so obvious to me that judging from how many people die in, or on the way to one of those places, its healthier to stay outa there!
  • My understanding is that it will be a low protien diet. Severly reduced dairy products and salt. Low in potassium. Many fruits and vegetables are high in potassium yet some are lower and really contribute well to the diet. Bluberries, carrots are good. Avoid avocadoes, nuts, potatoes, as they are very high potasium foods.…
  • I doubt the op needs therapy.
  • Once a month. I've never had any complaints, skin infections or other health problems. I wash my hair weekly in the kitchen sink and soak my feet if they need it once in a while.

  • The op is young and has a very unhealthy relationship with food. He also has kidney issues. That's why it's a problem in this particular situation. [/quote] I still think its better not to diagnose over the internet. We can always make positive suggestions that are alternatives. Eating and walking, we really can't tell…
  • Also, walking inside is preferable than walking in hot temperatures with smog. Many cities in Europe and in the east are so smog ridden that walking inside is the only safe exersize. To respond to the rest. I'm not against therapy, certainly not that. It just seems to me that we are just not in a posotion to strongly…
  • I have fruit for meals sometimes, I like it and sometimes it just fits in calorie wise and with my schedule. I haven't seen any ill effects from fruit meals.

  • It might be a little insulting to OP's in any thread on mfp to suggest they get to therapy. Its really not up to mfp posters to give the first port of call for newcomers a diagnosis of eating disorder and ask them to seek psychiatric sessions for such.
  • If all you have near you are convenience stores then check out the pasta, rice sections as well as what other people suggested the canned and frozen vegetables. Usually there are canned fish items, like sardines, salmon, mackerel and tuna. Add mustard and a little olive oil for flavour. Most cn enience stores even carry…
  • Hot home cooked meals three times a day, except if I just have yogurt and fruit for breakfast. We prep fresh vegrtables and eat fresh fruit for snacks, or nuts. I'm retired, so that helps a lot. We shop two or three times weekly. It became a priority for me about 30 years ago, so I think I can say I'm used to it. Meals are…
  • Whatever else you do, you have to eat less than your body needs if you want to lose the fat. Lifting weights isn't the answer to losing body fat.
  • Hot weather makes me feel a little nauseous, so for me that can be a bonus during summer months. I don't have A/C atm and its ok. I find fatty foods and high carb foods will make me sweat a lot and feel more heated. So idk if that acually means that air conditioners cause obesity, a statement like that is a stretch! Still,…
