Yes..weighing is key. And when you do, weigh in grams..not cups. More accurate that way. You'll be surprised how much you were eating and you should weigh everything! Amazon is a good place to get one cheap. Good luck!

I eat what I call a protein oatmeal a lot, which I love. I put in a scoop of oatmeal after it's cooked and I add 2 tbsp of evaporated milk and 1/4 cup pecans...my favorite sweetened with Splenda...comes in around 350 calories. Or I also eat grits and eggs A LOT!! That comes in around 400. Sometimes I do Special K cereal…

8 or 10-hour window is too big for me...that's a regular day for me really. When not doing IF I normally eat from 12-10 and I eat too much. So, I think a smaller window is probably best...my even an 18/6. Thanks!

Great info!! Following! I've been trying to follow 5:2 for about 2.5 months now and it's hard for me to stick to the 500 calories during the fasting day. Maybe if I shrink my window of eating (close the kitchen at 7p) I can make it! :smooched:
