I'm doing Dr. B but I'm doing it completely at home because the closest clinic is a 2 hour drive away. You can purchase the vitamin B at the pharmacy and inject yourself or do the pill form and just follow the eating rules at home. Good luck!

How do you measure body fat? I have a digital scale and replaced the batteries several times because I thought it was broken but nope....just no change lol

I completed W4D1 last night. I must say I really had to push myself through the 5 minutes runs. I definitely slowed my pace down and that helped considerably. I guess who cares if I'm going so slow I could be going backwards...as long as I finish right? lol. I'll worry about increasing my speed once I'm done the program.

How's everyone doing?? I completed W3D1 last night. It wasn't too bad actually....I was surprised I didn't burn as many calories as week 1 and 2 and I didn't sweat as much either, even though I was doing longer runs??

Finished W2D3 tonight. It was tough for some reason but I made it through. I'm trying to build my endurance up before my speed so right now I'm jogging at only 4.0. I want to finish the 9 weeks and then work on my speed and timing. If it takes me an hour to do 5k I'm ok with that as long as I finsh! WTG for everybody else!…

Oh that suck!! :noway: hope you feel better soon and can hop on the wagon with the rest of us! I took this weekend off for my sons birthday so I'll be doing W2D3 this evening! Even though it's only been a couple of weeks I actually missed it....who woulda thought!

I'm going to be doing W2D2 this evening. I had to bring my running inside to the treadmill. I will try and get outside at least one out of the three runs so it's not a huge shock when I start running outside full time....scary!! lol I don't want to have to be dependant on my treadmill (only in the winter when it's…

I'm also on Mon, Wed & Fri so far. Depending on how I feel and I don't want to over do it I might try every other day. Good luck to you and keep us all posted! :)

Heading out to do W1D3! My legs and hips are super sore :noway: Hopefully they get better the more I jog. I'm pretty sure i don't have the proper running form. Apparently you're supposed to push off from the balls of your feet instead of your heels? I tried doing that my last day and it was way too awkward.

I downloaded the app on my iPod. Any smart phone will have an app just search couch to 5k. There are also podcasts for it that you can download but you have to listen to their music which I don't like. If you purchase the app you can incorporate your own music.

No I use the Get Running app. You won't be much further behind, I'm only on W1D2 tomorrow. Hop on the wagon!

I see in your pic that you're wearing Vibrams. How do you find them for running? Which ones would you recommend? I've been wanting to get a pair and try them out. I currently wear the Nike Free barefoot shoes and really like them. I've heard that the Bikila is good for running also.

Good luck on week 3...let me know how you do!!

well I did it...I started. Last night I did W1D1 and boy it was tough...so so hot outside but I still finished. I'll be doing W1D2 on Saturday...and yes I think I will be doing morning runs from now on. I also have the Nike+ app and the chip for my shoe and really like it. Especially when it tells me my distance, calories…

I have the same problem :ohwell: Before I ended up running after work and dinner. I'm running this evening but I think I'm gonna set my alarm and get up at o'dark early from now on and just get it over and done with. Then I guess it's good way to kick start my metabolism for the day :) Good luck to you! How are you finding…

I've been low-carbing it for about 4 months now on and off. I have managed to lose about 18lbs. I know I would have better results if I stuck with the program and not let my willpower crumble. I want to be at my goal weight of 145-150lbs before Christmas this year, so that means I have 7 months to lose approx 60lbs which…

I need more "low carb" friends as well...always great to have people that are trying to have the same lifestyle as myself!

Thanks for the advice! I will try and keep up my sodium and fat. It's day 2 and I feel pretty good but the withdrawal is bound to start happening soon.

I'm new to IP. I started yesterday with my inital weigh in and "grocery shopping" . So far it seems ok to me since I was on a low carb high protein way of eating before starting. The food hasn't tasted that bad surprisingly. I'm hoping to try and knock off at least 60lbs and then re-evaluate and go from there. I've seen so…

Wow, you don't even look like the same person!! What an amazing job you've done! How were you able to lose so much in just 6 short months?
-
I'm not an expert by any means but I would suggest slowing WAY down. Once your body becomes more accustomed to the running then you can work on speed. When I started I started jogging at a 4 and found that I was having a hard time catching my breath so I slowed right down to 3-3.5. I'm concentrating on finishing the…

I'm hoping to complete W1D3 this evening! Feel free to add me...I need all the motivation I can get! Come hell or high water I'm finishing this!
-
I've completed W1D2 and it's great so far! I'm hoping to be able to run a 5K race in April or May and then start training for a half marathon. I used to HATE running with a passion now I actually enjoy it....who woulda thought!

Wow for being a religious woman you sure are negative. Maybe you should read the title of the group before you start throwing in your opinion. Everybody has their own CHOICE as to how they want to lose weight and be healthy. Next time you decide to post on ANY thread think about this first....IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING…

651 again today
