Way to go, boss!

Been running a lot and boxing and climbing a little. Mostly twice a day 5 miles runs. Two 5 mile runs, climbed, and did some fight training including judo throwing and boxing striking yesterday. Today I did my first 10 miles run and I surprised myself with a 9:30 pace... And the fact that it was easy. One maybe slight…

Second guessing this 30k scheme. Alternating between 10 mile and 6 mile days and the 10 mile days aren't hard... (I'm doing 10 mph on flats and 12 on steep hills ) but I'm feeling a little taxed from the upped running miles. Of course, I'm still hiking for work, climbing and boxing on top of running... And I started my…

It would be impossible le for many body types to achieve that level of muscle definition (seen in the abs and arms) and still have breasts and a rounded booty like that. It's okay to admire or strive for that as long as you know you may be fitter than a marine and never achieve that look.

Are you people all from Seattle? Jeeze say hi the first time. Every lap after that is a hug.

I think that's weird.

Now that I have a feel for my macros, I'm kinda over logging at the moment, and I might just use a mental tally system. Fun training news! I'm doing a 50k in 2 weeks. I don't have enough time to get my running mileage up, so I'm planning to run half and walk half. I've been curious what this ultra thing is all about. I…

I think if you just go run every day you'll get wherever you're trying to get as a fitness runner. When your distance or speed becomes easy, you know it's time to increase it (or not) depending on your goals. You absolutely don't need a structured program.

Same old beach run hiking. Skipping gym to go to dinner tonight. Crab shack... So crab obviously. Been so sloppy with food since my backpacking trip. Over every day so basically ataintensnce. One day turned into 2... Then a week...Need to get back in my groove.

Get a little treat satchel that clips to your waistband. Hold a treat by your side in your palm. Make him stay by your side for longer and longer durations before you give him the treat. You can also feed him a whole meal of kibble using this method if you don't want to fatten him up on treats. Use a command like "by me"…

My workouts have been super boring since the dogs came back. All running all hiking all day every day. Yesterday I finally got some climbing and boxing in too! 1) 60 minute beach run 2) 1 hr hike (1/2 carrying sand bag uphill on my shoulder) 3) 1 hr light hiking no weight 4) 30 minutes sparring and shadow boxing... Beating…

Yesterday hour long trail run in high winds with tumble weeds flying at my head. Today: 90 minute boxing session. Felt a little sore with heavy legs and hurting shoulders. I guess that's the price of getting back into it after being inconsistent for weeks. Boxing needs a lot of work. Meeting a friend for a bust it out 2…

Great costume ninerbuff!

Oh, I thought this was a sex question...

I've gone on plenty of runs over an hour without bringing any water. I hate water sloshing in my stomach and usually just rehydrate afterwards. If my mouth gets really dry from dehydration, sometimes I'll pluck a leaf or something and chew on it. Some parks have drinking fountains.

Cocoa powder has more iron per oz. than red meat :) I put it in coffee, oatmeal, baked goods, protein shakes, anything sweet...

Sparring. Need to tighten up defense and get speed back up. Followed up with abs, push-ups and a few pull-ups. Man, pull-ups were hard after sparring. Gassed out :P Food: a little high on cals and low on protein. I've been a little slack on my diet the past few days. Need to get back on it!

Plenty of runners run that milage or more every day. You'll know what's right for your body. Increase milage slowly. Minimize impact on knees and hips my running on trail with a form that encourages a soft foot landing.

I use them when I don't have time or desire to prep food and because I think they are yummy. Blending in a lot of ice is the key to making it really like a milkshake. We have a killer expresso machine at my office, and I make myself knock off frapachinos with espresso, almond milk, ice, and protein powder pretty…

I eat 1,800 to lose on days when I'm exercising 3 hours or less. Some days I'm exercising 6 hours or more as part of my work day and some days I'm doing major endurance activities. So I can also get up and past 2,400. Feel free to add me, but I'm probably a terrible example because I'm on 40/40/20 and supplementing huge…

Back to the grind. Boxing conditioning class. First time I've done boxing or any HITT in about two weeks since I was trying to get over my cold before my backpacking trip (turns out I now have pneumonia). I was getting gassed more than normal, but overall cardio performance was not as bad as expected and strength was as…

Yes... And apparently I've had pneumonia for over a month now...

What I've been up to the past 4 days. Backpacked solo 88 miles, 28,000 ft elevation gain. Super back country Sierra Nevadas. Slept on rock ledges and followed bear tracks over snow covered passes. Also did a few push-ups to keep warm and a bit of scrambling. Now I'm eating some pancakes because my stomache looks concave.

I have IBS and sticking to low FODMAPS is soooo helpful. However, people seem to think you're just trying to be difficult by essentially not being able to eat out, eat prepared food, eat whatever is convenient and everyone else is eating. It is a very limiting diet, and there is no way around that.

Goal was to take it easy and carb load for start of trip tomorrow. 1 hour trail run. 2 hours hiking no weight easy pace. Ate an apple fritter the size of my head and candy all day. It's a hard life. I'll be backpacking for the next 5 days :) Really looking forward to getting back into my boxing routine when I get back.
-
Thanks all! I think I'll try to get in a few hundred more grams carbs than usual throughout today to make sure I'm topped off. Also, I'll make sure to eat as much as I can on the trail (even when not hungry) per the advice of Waffle aka The Itallian Grandmother of Backpacking.

Yeah. Just wondering if an extra 1,000 today would help on day 1 or not really make any difference. I don't usually do anything different with my nutrition I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic. I can never eat or carry enough food backpacking and usually lose a half lb to a lb per day...

2 hours trail running steep hills. 2 hours hiking no weight. Cardio is dialed in for high altitude (9,000-1,300 ft) backpacking trip. Packed my pack today and it feels a bit heavy, but I'm probably just tired. It'll feel like nothing in the morning...

2 hours rucking with 40 lb pack. Occasionally putting 60 lb dog on top.
