i feel defeated..i need motivation. i have been yo-yoing my entire life... heaviest = 242, lightest = 117. i'm at 241 now (lost 65 pounds, gained it all back), i need to be around 140-150 although doctor says 170 is a good goal to start with. I lost 15 pounds last summer, gained it back over winter. gotta get back into it.…

my goal is actually 80, but ideal weight is for me to lose 100. add me if you want! I'm only 4 pounds into this journey!

they are okay for meal replacements, but don't go overboard. I agree, they are not really that filling for me. I used to drink one with some fruit every morning. Helped me hit my protein goal. I do recommend that if you are going that route, make sure you buy high quality protein (which is actually kind of expensive). The…

i want more friends! looking for those who will motivate and post statuses, etc.

bothers me how non-dieters are always the first to point out if you're eating something like 1 cookie... ("should you really be eating that?") while they are eating a milkshake and cheeseburger. or being overweight and people being like "have you tried a diet and exercise program?" uh yes, what do you think i've been doing…

WW is great if you don't know what you're doing, but once you get the gist of it, no need to spend all that money. I am in the process of getting my mom to make the switch. Even the support lines are here on MFP, so no need for that either!

thanks everyone! i try to eat as little diary and egg as possible, but i don't let it stress me out. :)

i eat mostly plant based, used to be vegan, but recently haven't been committed to the lifestyle. i'd love to get back into it, because i felt so much better. if you want to be friends, let's do it!

there are a lot of great benefits to eating less meat - doesn't mean you have to not eat it at all, but a lot of vegetarian dishes are super yummy. a lot of people tend to attack vegetarians, but eating less meat can not only have effects for you - lower risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure, but also for the…

i have to subscribe to this thread. made my day.

thanks for all the tips/support/comments. i just want to be clear on this thread - i do not stress eat. trust me, i used to stress eat, but i have been dieting pretty much my whole life and i know the difference. i rarely snack. i eat a deficit all the time. i eat healthy foods probably 85% of the time. i don't mean - if i…

are you just putting in your time until you get the Plexus Lexus? sorry, i see these feeds on my FB wall all the time.. but anyway, you know you balance out your blood sugar by just eating healthy? i was hypoglycemic (and still losing weight) for YEARS, and i only fixed my blood sugar problem when i started eating balanced…

depends on how you carry weight. i lost 65 pounds a couple years back, went from a size 24 pants to size 14. i gained that weight back, but i am only at 18 now. i've lost 7 more and 18's are getting pretty big. at my thinnest adult i was 117 and was still a size 9/11.

i was 27.5% off. i guess i need to be a little more positive about my body.

i am getting back into running and more importantly I LOVE SWEETS! also looking for some friends for motivation. my friends dropped off of here lately and it's hard doing it by myself.

i like this thought of conscious and unconscious walking. make sure you're not just always counting the unconscious kind. get out and go for a walk, like previous poster said... has mental benefits too. pick up the pace. try a more challenging route (differences in elevation), or better yet, get out and go hiking, a little…

if you're in it to lose weight or improve your cardio health, then any little bit helps. I think the problem is people tend to over-exaggerate how much they are working out. I suggest getting a pedometer that sync with MFP (like fitbit, etc). I hardly have to ever track anything and all my walking/running/jogging counts…
