Depending how naughty my cheat meal is (I have one usually every Saturday) I can see an increase in my eight from the Sunday through till Tuesday/Wednesday. By the Wednesday I am then always lower than the previous Wednesday. Weight loss is averaging 1.2lb a week. I am happy with that

My thighs are always the last to budge. Have you been measuring? Were your thighs always bigger even before the 25kg loss? If so, you probably have lost a lot from there, but because your body is reducing everywhere, the fat loss is relative.

I read an interesting article about 'reverse dieting' and it could explain why it is so easy too regain the lost weight. I cannot find the original article, but pretty sure a good google search will help.

My weight fluctuates +/- 10lb in water really quickly. Also just before a vacation we can cut calories too low in a mad panic to be bikini ready. Most english pubs do serve salads... so you can easily keep your calories in check - as for breakfasts ask for poached eggs on toast. We have finally caught up and have lots of healthy places to eat. When you saw your trainer, was your goal fat loss, body recoup or increased strength? That would determine the level of calories they set you. I would also agree with the increase in weight when starting a lifting programme. I don't fully understand why, but believe it is because damaged muscles store water to aid…

I don't exercise to eat - I exercise to enjoy the bonus of knowing I am burning a few extra calories. That being said, my caloric intake now ranges between 1500 and 1800 calories a day
