For me, I couldn't lose any weight without plenty (I mean plenty!) of protein. Encourages your body to turn the fat you already have into energy rather than being lazy and burning what you're eating, so fill your boots.

Tuna, Tuna, Tuna, Tuna & Tuna.

Hope you like it! A bit of sour cream on it would go down a treat, but I went for the healthier french dressing. But if you're feeling crazy ;)

Not at all, it wasn't that long ago I'd never tried it either! Some people are put off by the look/texture, but I find it to be a really clean, rich tasting veg. Definitely right up there amongst my favourite vegetables!

Yep, spicy food affects the rate of your metabolism, just as drinking cold water does, warm climates, etc. etc. The point I'm trying to make is that it does help, but it's not magic, and won't be the difference in losing weight and not losing - it'll just help, a little. I love spicy food too - go nuts

Haaa thanks hey! :)

I've only just started drinking them - basically, they're an easy source of protein. Be careful to choose one that's specifically designed to give you protein with low carbs/cals (if that's what you're looking for) rather than one designed to build mass! Protein is the key to weight loss, and I try to get as much (and from…

http://askgeorgie.com/?p=1927 Protein bar recipe! I think it's pretty vegan-friendly, bar one egg. They're tasty!

I peel them, chop them, boil for 7 minutes, drain them, then in a hot oven with 1cal spray, s&p, oregano and chilli flakes, about 15 minutes in my oven gets them nice and crispy on the outside but keep checking them. Serve them with some yogurt for dipping!

Probably a ridiculous amount - yes. But it's by far the thing you should be thinking 'Can I have too much of...?' the least. I love the stuff, and convinced it's the main ingredient in weight loss! I try to have as much as possible - egg whites, tuna, lean meat - I even make my own protein brownies! Good luck

All mine are fine after 118lbs lost - I'd say they look even better, colour looks fuller. Having said that, They're all shoulder/arms/lower leg, so I couldn't tell you about stomach area, sorry!

I've lost 110lbs since Jan 17 this year, so maybe 8 and a half months. Everyone loses at different speeds, but I'm sure it's possible for anyone to lose 100lbs in a year. Good luck, and keep us all posted!

Thanks guys, keep at it! You're all a massive inspiration to me!
-
Thanks Stu! I have become a bit leaner yeah! I've been really bad with exercise recently - I started a new job on evenings about 2 months ago which was always when I did my exercise, so it's been hard for me to get in the routine again. I used to play 5 a side football, swim, and cardio at the gym (I'd usually do 20min…

Canon? Such a shame! :P Haaa even as a Nikon-fan, I have to admit the 5DmkII is an amazing camera, totally raised the bar when it came out!
-
Ahh thanks! Keep at it guys, if I can be an inspiration to help people when it gets tough then that's fantastic! :)
-
Cheers guys! Davep90, which Nikon do you have there?
-
Thanks once again, friends!

Yeah I've got some loose skin - not a huge amount though. Mostly round the tops of my arms/legs and belly. The tops of my arms I can sort out with some weight training I think no problem, unsure about my legs/belly though! I guess that's the next challenge, ha. I try to take 50-70g protein in a day without having over 30g…

My two favs are egg whites (3 egg whites = 12g protein, 0g carbs, under 1g fat, 48cals) and tuna chunks! If you can get it, biltong (South African dried meat) is also a fantastic source of protein and a great snack. Whenever I'm hungry I have 3 egg whites, a tiny bit of skimmed milk, salt and pepper, whisked up and in a…

Ah thankyou! I know it is hard, but I really thank that it's vital that you enjoy what you're doing if it's going to work. I'm the kind of person that will throw myself completely into something, so I really like learning more about food types and doing research into stuff that might be able to help my weight loss -…

Thankyou everyone! Really really appreciated :)

Congratulations man! Don't be too worried about not really noticing yourself yet, I still look in the mirror and don't see a huge change. I'm confident it's a gradual thing that'll come with time! 50lbs is a great goal to hit, you should feel good. Here's to the next 50! Michael

Thanks everyone for the kind words! If I can provide inspiration to anyone then that's fantastic, I'd be made up! :)
-
Thanks guys! The last 21lbs is to get my BMI right to the upper limit of my 'healthy' range - I'm not the tallest of blokes so that works against me!
-
Ha! That's the most important thing! :D Thanks again for the kind words hey guys :)
-
Ha, yes! I do notice that. I've even been introduced to people I've known for years, and they can't remember me. Way of the world, sadly! I started on Jan 17th this year.

Three biggest things I'd say in terms of food are literally as much protein as you can get (i have a ridiculous amount of egg whites and also half a tin of tuna most days), don't mix carbs and fats in the same meal ever, and keep your calories down - oh and flax seed oil! It helps with weight loss but also with joints,…

Well done, you look fantastic!
