  • You guys sound like you're doing great! @hog_farmer's_wife - Thank you! I love hearing how the group has helped people who've been here from practically the start. Well, I have some good news. I weighed myself this morning--and I'm the lowest weight I've been in two years! So excited!

  • Nope. Sign-ups are open until tomorrow this month, since I didn't post the group until late on the 28th. Welcome! :)
  • I've had a hard time making it more than a week into the challenge myself. I get a ton of exercise at work; it's the hunger that does me in. This month, I'm going to keep my calorie goals fairly high. I'm getting less and less convinced that letting your body go hungry is the way to go. For exercise, I would say that any…

  • The mini-challenges are never *everyone's* cup of tea, but I didn't realize this one would be no one's. So, here's another option for this week: Every day this week, pick an exercise or physical game you've never done before or haven't done in a long time, and do it. Some ideas: Twister, that exercise where you lean your…
  • What I got done on the 9th, not Internetting, texting, or watching TV: - Wrote 10 Christmas letters (but didn't get them sent, blah) - Spent two hours brainstorming for the novel I've been wanting to write forever - Worked a 7-hour shift (altough, this would have happened anyway)

  • 20. It's 7:00 a.m. and I see people checking in for the current day. Isn't that against the rules? There are a few legitimate reasons why people might be checking in "early": 1.) They live in a different area of the world. Your 7:00 a.m. might be their 7:00 p.m. 2.) They have a different sleep schedule. Perhaps they work…

  • Omg, that is strength. I don't even keep zebra cakes in my house. I will eat them all within an hour of bringing them home from the store.
  • 5th - made baked fries for dinner instead of fried fries.
  • Make sure you're not starving yourself. Don't forget, you set your calorie goal. If you need more fuel, don't hesitate to increase your calorie budget.
  • I would definitely consider that an exercise. It's like yoga, with all the stretching. I don't know how you would list it on MFP, but it counts for this challenge.
  • I read these posts before I start my day, and I love them. Thanks, guys, for letting us know the challenge works for you. It makes my day to read that. And thank you, Jagreene. You put in so much time, responding to messages and motivating people. You always seem to know the right thing to say.

  • Even with grammar errors, he says it more inspiringly than my synopsis could, and that's the magic of it. But here's the gist: 1. No more 'zero days.' A zero day is when you do nothing to achieve your dream. If, at 11:58 p.m., you find you've done nothing toward your goal, write a sentence. Read a page from your textbook.…
