Congrats for taking the first step in realizing and admitting that you are overweight. I think the first step is the hardest. Now that you've admitted it, you need to take responsibility for it. Mine is a (mostly) gluten free lifestyle. Since I have a sensitivity to gluten its more of a must that I follow it. I also keep my carbs to a minimum. Hi I'm Heidi and I just joined MFP yesterday. Next summer I'm getting married (again), and I want to look and feel great! I won't go dress shopping until I fit into a smaller size. I'm going to lose 28 lbs to get to my goal weight of 150lbs.

I had the opposite thing happen. I lost inches but the weight stayed the same. Someone said to me " you didn't put the weight on in 3 weeks, don't expect to fall off in that amount of time." we'll, since it was put that way to me it made sense.
