  • I am so inspired by your story. Thank you for sharing your story of your journey and your pictures. You are looking beautiful and your smile sparkles. I have 100 lbs to lose and would love to join you as you lose your weight in supporting eachother. What amazing progress you have made. I am sure your heart feels better. I…
  • Hi. This is my year too. I am right behind you in age and have a bit more weight to lose, and my commute is 2 hours daily, so kind of similar..... I am here if you want additional support and encouragement. This is an awesome way to hold yourself accountable. Sending you a friend request. Let's do this! Jill
  • Greetings from Seattle, Washington. I would love to have international friends on here. Will send friend request. This site is awesome! I am new too and really getting a lot out of it. Jill
  • I think your goals are reasonable. Your wedding pics are beautiful too. It sounds like you keep doing what you are doing. Watch calories and paying attention to the carbs, protiens, and fats. Maintain the exercise routine for your health. Are you drinking all your water everyday? That makes a difference. Maybe a fitness…
  • Right On! This is a great site. Keep up the great work.
  • I think you can do it. It is a little bit more than would be professionally recommended, but if you push yourself, stay well hydrated, and very disciplined, you could get there. I would set a range of 30 - 40 lbs so that you won't feel too disappointed if your body isn't ready to let go of the weight or you simply plateau.…
  • What is a Shred? Don't be too discouraged. You've hit a plateau where your body is getting used to the new patterns and reduced calories. It will kick into weight loss mode again. We all have those periods where there isn't immediate gratification, but patience and persistance will pay off in the bigger picture of things.…
  • Hi! I am new to this too. Just been on one week. I want to encourage you with your efforts. I am enjoying the accountability of recording my food on line. I typically haven't like journaling and tracking, but this seems to be okay for me. I am counting calories and following the recommended fat, protien and carb…

  • Hi Emily, I was meaning to check in with you anyway, then I saw your post. Feeling down and in recovery from surgery takes its toll on people. You are going to get through this and become inspired again. Sometimes I get motivated by looking at magazines, or shopping online for new clothes, even if I don't buy anything,…
  • Nice to have the gym to yourself!
  • I definitely want to do this with friends who have 100 or more pounds to lose. I have considered surgery but would prefer not to do that if I can truly change my lifestyle and eating behavior. I would love the support of others who are about where I am weight wise. So feel free to add me as support and let's do…
  • You should be over the worst of the withdrawals if you have tappered off slowly, but Effexor, and other antidepressant withdrawal is not fun. You do just feel sick all the time. I would call your MD and discuss.
  • I wouldn't be able to do the walk in San Diego, but did walk last Sept in Seattle. I'd be happy to be of support and answer any questions you may have. I did the walk at my current weight and made through about 55 of the 60 miles. It is an awesome experience.
  • I am on my first week of using MFP, but really finding this a helpful tool for my personal accountability and emotional support. I have 105 lbs to lose so this will be an amazing and lengthy journey, but I am doing it! Looking for really strong motivational support from others with large amounts to lose to go through this…
  • Feel free to add me as a friend and part of your support system.
  • I am going to check out the web site too that was previously mentioned. http://www.innerpeacemassage.com/sixmudras.html I am seeking peace of mind in this process. I want to get over this food obsession and not live to eat, but eat to live. I love MFP and am so happy to have found it. Feel free to add me as a friend. We…
  • I am just starting too, but I really like the accountability this program can provide. So far the support and checking in at the end of the day has been really useful to me. Hoping it will be for you too. Everyone is very helpful and encouraging. Welcome.
  • Why is that there is a loss of appetite in the beginning. I have noticed this too. Why could I eat so much prior to starting to restrict my calories? I am surprised by this, but liking it.
  • We have all felt that way at one time or another. I am so glad to have joined MFP and finally feel I can make change in my life, but only because of the new found help and support. I am here for you and would love to support you on the journey to prepare for your wedding day. Keep the faith. You are beautiful and you can…

  • Hi, I am new to this too. I am on Day 3. I have 105 lbs to lose. If I can be of support let me know. Welcome and keep thinking positive thoughts. Jill
  • I am new too. Just started yesterday, but feel that this type of support may be very helpful to me. Hopefully, I will be of help to others too. I am excited to use this public forum to hold myself accountable and I really enjoy reading the success stories and challenges of others. I look forward to having some friends.…
  • I found that I wasn't getting near 10,000 steps in a day, unless I went walking, got on the treadmill, or some intentional way of incorporating steps into my life. I learned by wearing a pedometer during my day that what I thought was average steps, was really quite minimal. But it was a good reality check to see how much…
  • I just found "generic" snow crab legs at the meat counter in Safeway. Yummy on a salad or just as a 0 carb protein snack.
