Oh, and the biggest thing to remember is that if you do blow a day's calories on a snack - DON'T get hung up on it. Every day is a new chance to make smarter choices. Giving up after you blow it once will not get you anywhere. Good luck! :)

Having to account for it in my food diary really makes me think harder about whether I'm actually hungry...or just bored. Try peanut butter on celery or with an apple, nuts, string cheese, stuff like that. Usually best to make sure it's lower carb - so avoid the breads/rice/pasta stuff. I also really like cottage cheese with some Mrs. Dash-like seasoning and almonds or sunflower seeds thrown in for crunch!
