I know where you're coming from having recently started heavy lifting myself. The inches are dropping but the weight isn't. However I think you have just about summed it up in your last post. Firstly have you EVER seen a size 10 woman that weighs 200lbs? I haven't so the pounds MUST come off eventually if the inches are.…

I vow every weekend to quit the wine during the week then always find an excuse to have some :drinker: Personally I lose so much easier when I don't drink so much but it has just become a habit. Got to work hard on breaking this once and for all!

Hi I'm Vicki and I'm a Jillian-a-holic lol! I love her workouts and the results they bring. I am on day 11 of Body Revolution and It's great. I have 26 lbs to go until my goal (although that may change when I get there!) and I am realistically hoping to lose at least 14 doing BR. I have a blog to follow my progress so feel…

I agree with just dance, it really makes you sweat. Zumba wii is good too but I'm not so coordinated so find it hard to follow

Oh, trust me I know about alcohol calories but it's so frustrating arguing with him about it. He diets and loses weight but that is because he eats an apple in the morning, a salad for lunch then drinks alcohol from 4pm to about 2am! There is no telling him any different. He has a dependancy on alcohol, but I wish he…

Mine was today when I bent over in front of my sister in law to change my sons nappy and she said "you must have had to buy loads of new clothes" when I asked why she replied " well surely none of your old ones fit you now, you look great" On a stranger note my brother (who truly speaks his mind no matter what) said to my…

My dad continuously argues that there are no calories in alcohol! That's why alcoholics are always slim! I wish there were no calories in it, then I might not be here in the first place!

I seem to have much better lower body strength, but we will get stronger!

Thanks everyone, I will definately cut out the shred until after I lift next time! I'm quite happy with my other progress on all the other lifts.

I also had this question. Mine is set to lightly active. I walk one hour 5 days a week (school run) 30 day shred 5 days a week (30 mins) Stronglifts 5x5 2 days a week Run approx 5km once a week Im eating at tdee - 20% which is approx 1700cals Not sure if I am lightly or moderately active so am going with lightly for about…

You are going to get a lot of opinions on this topic! To answer your basic question of whether to lift now or lose weight first, lift now! You will not build significant muscle on a calorie deficit. Your weight loss is all about creating a deficit with diet. Lifting heavy will help to maintain muscle mass already present.…

I'm only up to season 3, but Tony Soprano is starting to do it for me :noway:
