I use map my fitness for workouts. I have fitbit synced to mfp for step count. I have map my synced to mfp for all workouts except walking. Fitbit will adjust calories burned for the time an activity is logged on map my. As long as you start and stop a workout (not sure how it works to log a workout after the fact unless…

Try Sworkit. Its an awesome app that links with Mfp.

Thanks guys!

And it looks like its counting steps while I drive.
-
Yes,. But I can't seem to see the breakdown of the negative adjustment.

I have fitbit zip. Synced with mfp. I log all workouts on map my fitness, which syncs to mfp. Mfp adjusts calories burned during the workout with fitbit's step count. You then can also see the activity on fitbit. Can't link fitbit and map my fitness though... it will double count calories burned.

Mfp and map my can communicate, but if you have all three linked together, calories burned will erroniously double
-
Link mfp with fitbit. Link mfp with map my. Mfp will figure all accordingly. Fitbit reduces its calories burned for the time frame of workout in map my (all in mfp). Fitbit and map my do not communicate.

Mfp, not map.

Map My Fitness (map my walk, map my ride, map my run, map my bike). Syncs with MFP. They also have a pedometer for mmf. About $20. Syncs with map.

What about activities also logged on Map My Fitness? Like biking or gym workouts? Will all three apps link and sync? Like.... if I leave the fit bit on while biking and use map my ride, will fitbit automatically calculate for that time frame? Or would I have to enter that info on the fitbit app instead of mapmyride? I like…

MayMyFitness has a great HRM that logs all day like fitbit. And it syncs directly to myfitnesspal.

MyFitnessPal overestimates calorie burn way worse than the machines. Elliptical will tell me 560 calories (when inputting age, weight, gender, heart rate), but MyFitnessPal tells me its close to 800 calories. I tested it with my HRM, and the machine was accurate. Unfortunately, that means MyFitnessPal is WAY off.

Log it on MapMyFitness. It has kettle as a workout option. It will sync over to MYF as long as you have your accounts linked.

Great ideas! Thank you!

If I am on a rest day, I stay under my calorie goal. Try to find lower calorie but filling foods. I love making a salad with avocado and hard boiled egg, that is filling to me. Increase water consumption. And how much are you going over? If its just a bit, I don't see a big deal.

How does the Garmin GPS work on a stationary machine?
-
I don't really know how else to explain... Worked out for 60 minutes Setting: on interval Resistance of 8 Total distance 5.1 miles

I can see the number of steps in myfitnesspal (I can see this on my computer , but not the phone app..... there is an entry under Cardio Exercise : Fitbit calorie adjustment based on your measured activity), but the calories burned still reads zero. I did just set all of this fitbit stuff up today around noon.
