LOVE lifting weights!! i actually prefer it over cardio these days. I stopped really using MFP forums because I too, rarely see women on here that like to lift. FYI if you're looking for the social media mecca of Women who lift Instagram is it LOL. Feel free to add me on there I use it way more than this. same username…

This is prob your best answer in the simplest form. if you are just trying to lose weight with no other specific goals you just need to focus on taking in less calories than you put out. At the end of the day a deficit is what matters. However, if you have other goals macros may be important, i.e. I work on heavy lifting…

I looked into lots of HRMs before buying mine and decided on a Polar FT4 which has a chest strap. Those are crucial to get the most accurate results. I love love love it!! and the chest strap isn't uncomfortable like I thought it would be. They retail on the Polar site for about $100 but you can find them on Amazon for…

I rarely go for the salad because restaraunt salads suck. I usually go for something similar to what I eat ate home with veggies and not a lot of bells and whistles in the ingredients. Nothing creamy or fried.

Being a girl idoesn't matter we can do anything the boys do :) I do Nike training club app on my phone in my room and it uses your own body weight, dumbells, and a medicine ball (if you have one). I also do squats, jump squats, lunges, scissor lunges, single leg deadlifts, and ab work. No cardio though because I have…

Subway is a good option if you're getting a salad. Yes there's tons of sodium but that's at any fast food place no matter how "healthy". However, the bread is also sugar heavy so if you have to go to Subway I would skip it.

It's not low calorie but I like to combine Justine's Maple alomnd butter with bananas for when I'm craving sweets. I also find eating a sweet potato sprinkled with cinnamon can curb my sweet tooth cravings. Then there's a good old fashion fruit salad, since I've been clean eating for awhile now that's often sweet enough to…

Thank you!! I usually strength train/weight lift 3 times a week along with doing 45-60 minutes of cardio 5 times a week. Sometimes cardio machines, sometimes running, sometimes kickboxing depending on what fits in my schedule. I make two of those cardio session interval cardio (also known as HIIT). For strentgh training I…

I love rewarding myself with new workout clothes or fitness equipment. Makes me happy AND keeps me motivated to do more :)

I have the same desk job problem and often have to work OT. Not sure if this is an option for you but I get up every half hour and walk down stairs and back just to get my limbs moving. I also try to workout everyday that I work plus have "active" rest days to make sure I get in as much physical activity as possible.

Thanks! This is a great way of looking at it
