  • I recently got the Polar FT7 Female version, and I have to be honest its so easy to use that I love using it! I've only used it twice so far but I am really happy that I got this, I have an accurate account of the calories I'm burning and I can't cheat myself cause your heart rate rarely lies!!
  • I have my first Pilates class in a couple of hours, I'm pretty nervous as I have never taken a class before. I am hoping to start kettlebells and spinning classes next week!
  • Asics Gel Virage 5, I love these shoes they are so comfortable! I'm not sure they even make the Virage line anymore :( last one I saw was the Virage 6.
  • I too go really red when working out, I'm not amazingly fit but for as long as I can remember fit or unfit I have always turned red during workouts. I have been told its the blood vessels coming to the surface to help dissipate heat, and because I sweat a lot when working out too this seems to be the cause. I was also told…
  • This annoys me too, I am Dyscalculic/number blind and trying to figure out how much I've eaten using the 0.5 etc is a complete pain. To be honest I find just weighing my food difficult as I don't see numbers very well. There are a few things that annoy me but this just makes my time at MFP more difficult, when I was hoping…
  • I have a Nike+ Sportswatch but also use the app too, as for the sensor you don't need Nike+ shoes to use the sensor I got a little pouch that attaches to the laces of my asics, the sensor fits in there and away I go! There are loads of the pouches out there for the sensor the one I have is the Marware Sportsuit Sensor…
  • Thanks for your recommendation, I'll be sure to check it out!
  • X-Biking is like spinning :) I'd have to wait 1 week to see my Dr again, only got to see a Dr today because I managed to get an emergency appointment. I have some work outs I can do at home, but yeah was looking forward to getting the go ahead to get up and running again, but I guess I should just be happy that it wasn't…
  • Thanks for all the replies! I am continuing with upper body and core work, just totally bummed about the no running :( I was really enjoying running again so just feeling pretty demoralised. I haven't tried any joint supplements but maybe I should look at them, I'm hoping that by next week I can get going the way I was. I…
  • Congratulations on making the first steps into the C25K program! I just finished week 2 and I can't think of any better advice than go get fitted for proper running shoes, its a simple process really and doesn't take very long but really helps out. I got fitted for running shoes and a friend of mine didn't my friend has…

  • I just finished week 2 and I have improved a lot since staring, I'm running more comfortably and I didn't look at the countdown timer at all during todays run, next week though is a whole different story I have to start with 3min runs, 90 seconds have been interesting so we'll see how I go on that. Stick with it I've…
  • Just completed Week 2 covered 1.9miles in 30mins ok not the fastest and not the furthest but I did feel comfortable and noticed an improvement in my endurance and breathing!
  • Thanks for the add :)
  • I'm going onto W2D3 tomorrow and I wasn't sure about being able to increase my running time, but I gave it a go and was actually surprised that I managed to do it! I've mostly been running outdoors although yesterday I ran on a treadmill for the first time because the Great British Weather was awful! I'd also agree with…
