My favorites are nibbling on a quest bar throughout the day and drinking lots of water carrots dipped in some type of nut butter my homemade turkey jerky (I have info if you are interested) Im a big nibbler, I feel that it keeps me from eating too much at meals and getting a stomach ache.

I personally try to avoid soda and drink only water and home brewed tea, but I think a can (not bottle) a day wouldn't hurt. I have heard that more than 2 or 3 cans is where people run into problems.

Tare is to like take away the weight from a bag or bowl or something. so you put the bag on the scale, press the tare then put your food on. its so you dont count the weight of the container. I use my little postal scale, it does grams, so it works for me.
