I have lost about 105 lbs since July 2012 (67 lbs lost while a member of MFP since June 2013). My goal weight was 210 lbs, but I am now 198 lbs, so I am just trying to maintain and cut body fat %.

Don't deny yourself pleasures, just limit them and work harder; whether that is an extra day working out, or longer sessions working out. And be consistent with work outs (I mean by not missing work out sessions)

I'm no expert but 1,200 calories seems pretty low. It may be sustainable for a while but you may be in for a big crash later. Be warned, be careful

Let's do it!!

I'm 33 and I login daily to record my calorie intake as well as fitness regime. I can use more supportive friends as well!!

I only add walking calories when I am doing something out of my ordinary day (such as walking around at fairs, parties, yard work, etc).

I have a lot to be happy about, I'm just still trying to figure it out though.

For meats, I always weigh after cooking and find the method of cooking in the database (I.e. grilling, pan seared, baked, etc.). I've been loosing weight consistently.

During the school year, put my daughters to bed at 8:30 pm, relax watching TV to about 10 pm then I head upstairs to pack a lunch if I will be out of the office at clients (if I am in the office I just come home for lunch since I live about 2 miles from my office), then I charge my iPod and pack my gym and suit so I am…

I agree with most comments, it is okay to reward your self. Just limit the number of cheat days. I used to consider the weekends my cheat day; however, I noticed I was not losing that much and ruined my weeks hard work. Now I say I would have a cheat MEAL (not an entire day) 1 - 2 times a month.

Thanks. By the way, your weight loss is great!!!

Thanks for that tip.

Thanks, As an FYI, when I started my life change back in October 2012 I was 308 lbs and now I am down to about 245 lbs (I joined MFP when I was approx. 265 lbs back in Jun 2013). My goal is to get down to between 210 lbs.

I actually think it under estimates my calories burned. My typically work out routine is 4 days a week (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri) and consists of about 1. 30 - 40 mins of interval running on treadmill; 2. 10 - 20 mins on the elliptical; 3. 40 - 60 mins of weight training (high intensity, I work abdominals between sets); and…

With an significant change in diet and exercise you will typically lose weight faster in the beginning, but then the weight loss will normalize. Just beware of the plateau!!

My moment occurred at six flags theme park a few years ago. My daughter wanted to go on one of the rides (can't remember which one), but we waited in line for about 20 minutes and when we finally got to the cart to sit, I could not buckle the seatbelt because on my weight (around 305 lbs at the time) and both me and my…

How does the body survive, let alone function on only 500 calories??
