• I also keep getting logged out and am super annoyed because I was cooking. I usually have several tabs open and input ingredient weights as I prep several meals. I got halfway through and when I tried to update a measurement, I was logged out and lost everything I'd previously logged.
• My Charge 2 display fizzled out right around the Charge 3 release date so that's why I upgraded. It's just as comfortable as the Charge 2 which is great. The screen seems to be a little tougher to scroll through. I use mine for daily calorie burn/step tracking (and I don't swim) so I haven't really noticed any difference…
• I have white chocolate peppermint tea that works for my sweet tooth. And it's awesome because it doesn't need sugar so it's zero calories. Like everyone else said, if you can fit the hot chocolate into your daily calories, then go for it. But the tea might be a good alternative for the days your calorie budget is maxed.
• I log every day because I like data. It helps me not lose my mind when I go through "plateau" periods. For example, right now I have not lost a pound in 12 weeks. Without the accumulated data, I could be tempted to believe a myriad of excuses which might even tempt me to give up completely. But the months of logging shows…
• I've had some crazy whooshes and anti-whooshes this month. On Jan 15, I weighed 198.8. After a few days, my weight shot up to 205. I knew I couldn't have gained that much in that short of time so I didn't update. But my weight hovered between 203-205 for the next two weeks so I finally gave in and updated my weight to…
• You're actually in the healthy weight range so losing 2lbs a week is unrealistic. That weight loss rate is for obese people.

• I am 10lbs from my lowest weight in 3 years!
• What works best depends on you. Some people like to track the daily fluctuations. Some people can't stand the fluctuations so they take longer periods of time between weigh-ins (weekly..some people weigh monthly). The weight loss trend is the most important figure in losing weight. Weigh-in schedules do not affect that…
• I watched the season opener and I must say Lee is a very scary man. His rage runs deep and I sincerely hope he gets the mental health treatment he desperately needs. That being said, I hope Rene gets far, far away from him. Until he gets help, as he gains mobility, he's going to get more and more dangerous. That was a…
• I am a gigantic ball of sodium and beer! I logged everything I could but am staying away from the scale for the next few days until my fingers return to normal size.
• When it comes to solid food, like your squash and cauliflower, you should use a digital scale to measure portions. I weigh and log everything in grams. It's much more accurate than using cups or measuring spoons because it's so easy to eat more without realizing it (ie a level tablespoon and a heaping tablespoon are going…
• I'm breaking the rules by posting this because it is a total scale victory, but I just can't contain myself! As of this morning, I am officially in ONEDERLAND!!!!!
• Just completed training at the local dog rescue and am now cleared to walk dogs! My dog passed away in 2015 and my life hasn't been stable enough to adopt another one so this volunteer work will help me scratch that doggie itch AND, as a bonus, add extra activity to my days. Win, win!
• Small egg sandwich with swiss cheese and bacon, all measured out, 207 calories. And then a few pieces of homemade double chocolate walnut biscotti with green tea, 402 calories. I am stuffed but headed out for a hilly 2.5 mile walk to the train station and wanted to make sure I didn't get tempted by all the lovely cafes…
• When I began losing weight, I logged my weight daily. I love data and wanted to understand my fluctuation trends. After 4 months, I started logging only the new lows. I find that data is just as informative as the graph reveals how long, on average, it takes me to achieve a new low. It's all personal preference. But I…
• Good job on going to the doctor and getting help! My brother has apnea and he too hated his machine at first. He tried a few different hose/mask types before finally finding one he could tolerate. Now he doesn't mind it at all. I just did a sleep study and found out I do not have apnea. That is good news since my sleep…
• I find it amazing how awesome a pair of boots can make me feel...especially after being too large for the sexy boot club. Huge congrats!!!
• I got some bad news and decided to throw myself a three day long pity party...with beer...and pizza...a very, very large pizza. By Wednesday night, I had 2200 surplus calories. But instead of giving in and calling the week a wash, I got my crap together and made better choices. The week is over and I have only 8 surplus…
• "Adorable little bears plucked from the pits of hell..."
• Could you imagine how much angrier those camels would be if they were stuck in a small car AND dehydrated?? ***shudder***
• I have a portable scale just for these situations...sashimi is super easy to weigh. If it's burgers or something messy/complicated, I usually estimate...
• Today I hit 365 days of logging. I've had a bad week calorie-wise. I had minor surgery and the antibiotics I have to take are making me ravenous! But I have all the data I need to understand this is not the end of the world and I can recover with minimal damage.
• Just search using the ingredients you mentioned...ie chicken, mushroom, and cheese. I'm assuming you didn't get a chance to weigh it, so you'll never been sure you're picking the most accurate entry. But it's good to still log it and keep in mind one meal isn't going to undo your work...
• I love pide! I would look for an equivalent pizza entry... Update: I just did a quick search and there are quite a few pide entries...so try to find the closest match to watch you ate...
• I gained 95 lbs over two years. I avoided going to the doc because I was embarrassed. I finally gave in and my extremely kind, yet firm, PCM really hit home when she said, "You're young enough to turn this bus around and undo any damage. However, if you do nothing, I want you to understand, this is the best you will feel…
• Anything before a workout gives me heartburn...which makes afternoon sessions miserable!
• The biggest thing I've learned since using adjustments is that MFP's adjustments are predictive. So when OP said the 240 calorie burn for 3,000 seems high, she was right. At that point in time, MFP was assuming her activity level would stay consistent. If she walked the 3,000 steps, then sat still for an hour, MFP will…
•
I want to know what burger with 1200 calories he's talking about. And eat it.
Go to Red Robin, Ruby Tuesday's, TGI Friday's, etc and you'll find lots of 1200+ calorie burgers
• Two years ago I bought a pair of extra-wide calf knee-high boots. The first year, my fingers were torn to shreds after fighting with the zipper. Last year, I couldn't zip them on at all. Yesterday, I tried them on and they zipped up with absolutely no resistance!
• Hang in there! This is a learning process. When I started, it took me about 8 weeks to see any consistent progress, mostly because I was unknowingly making a lot of mistakes. I had to learn to use a digital scale...and how to use it properly! I also synchronized my Fitbit and had to figure out the which calculations…
